Seoul far so good (Nose job / Fat grafting Part 1)

Hello guys! finally getting down to blogging about the surgeries i did in Seoul, Korea!

Thanks to DocDoc.com =))

Maybe i should start with sharing WHY i want to do the surgeries.

1) Nose job (filing away the hump + implant + rebuild nose cartilage for defined tip)
I want to remove the hump on my nose bridge, mainly. But i also would love to have a more defined and sharper tip at the same time and if the bridge between my eyes can be a little higher it'd be great.

2) Fat-grafting (drawing fats from back-thigh and under-butt, process it to be injected to my face)
I want to fill the line of "dent" on my forehead. And i wanna look less sunken and tired becox of all the hollow cheeks and laugh lines =( And the unevenness of the overall face shape, fat grafting would be able to fix it for me. Plus the angular and sharp jawline + cheekbones + zygoma makes me look really masculine and i don't want to look masucline =((

It all just adds up to making me look like a tired, overworked, unhealthy drug abuser. Lolol.

True story man, one time i came back from KL with Wendy and then we got stopped to have our bags inspected. Thing is, they don't check on everyone. And if they ask you to go over and check, it's just a lame shining of the torch into your bag, right? But the custom officers really raid my handbag and handcarry bag @.@ We concluded that it's most probably cox i look like a drug abuser cox i got no makeup and look very tired and yellow and sick lololol.

I know some people keep saying i was beautiful before and that i don't need surgery.. IT IS MAKEUP AND PHOTOSHOP. I never ever hide that i photoshop my pictures. So. Here you have, no photoshop. I see you still call these beautiful or not hahaha.

So you see.. Let me break it down for you lah okay.

1 - Line of dent on my forehead. It ALWAYS SHOWS UP IN PICTURES ONE =((( So i have try to keep fringe but you know how fringe can limit your style =X I just wanna be free to wanna do whatever i want without having to worry about a uneven line showing up as a dark line in pictures. And it does make me look very masculine =(

2 - My curb in temple on both sides makes my zygoma look EVEN larger. I'm not up to shaving my zygoma / jawline yet so the best way is to balance it out by adding my own fats to my temple!

3 - Laugh lines *immense hate on my face right now*

4 - Hollow undercheecks that again, emphasize on my zygoma =(

And here you can see obviously, hollow undercheeks and dented flat sunken forehead.

Okay study all my flaws i just pointed out to you without the distraction of arrows and numbers lol.

Smile better a bit but still look old =( I am only 25 going 26 year old but i feel without makeup i look 30 plus. Is this what aging do to us girls..? =((
This is me in the most recent shoot for rarebits, no edit. You can see how jagged my whole face looks like, filled with edges and strong angles. I don't want lah. I want a young, filled and bouncy soft look.

So months ago before my wedding i got an email from DocDoc.com to check for my interest in collaborations and i swear to god, my thought process went like this..

"Siao, ask me to see doctor, so sway. Wait, worst, ask me to ask my readers to see doctors also! Lolol funny" That's just a very old-fashioned pantang thinking lah. Like if you offer people handyplast as gift, is like cursing them to get cut.

Asking for collab to anything related to seeing doctors = saying i will get sick lolol. But then.. I went to checkout their websites and i must say i was pretty impressed by the services and convenience they offer to especially modern people like us who wants everything easy, simple and fast!

DocDoc.com helps you find a doctor (compare them if you need!), make appointment and provides concierge service and health information as you browse through the site! =D

If you ever tried to grab hold of a appointment that suits your work schedule / school schedule, you'd know sometimes it gets hard!!! It's either you have to walk-in and Q for a looong time or you just have to keep calling different clinics before you can finally secure an appointment.

But with DocDoc.com you can browse the 30,000(appx) doctors in ALL medical / healthcare / aesthetics related field AND you can view at one glance which day, what time, they have slots!

We don't have to go back and forth on the phone with the receptionist, "Monday 8pm?", "Oh Monday doctor is only free at 3pm", "Do you have a slot that is after work time?", "How about next Thurs? Doctor is free at 8pm", "Oh no i can't make it on Thurs, is Friday okay?", "Friday doctor is only free at 10am" And the guessing game goes on..

And this is especially true for good, popular doctors! My dentist for one, Orchard Scotts Dental, is registered on DocDoc.com as well and i know how busy they can get!!! It's hard to get a slot on a day at a time you want lah unless you go through every half an hour / hourly slot with the receptionist.

Also, if someone cancels out last minute on their appointment, the doctors can go update the now available slot on DocDoc.com and then other people can check to fill it up! =D It's really making appointment-booking much more efficient and convenient lah!

And as you can see the "map background" on the site, you can browse and find out about the doctors and healthcare specialist / providers around your area! =D Convenience level up! =D

Apart from that.. One thing that got me jumping when i browsed through DocDoc.com was THIS!!!

DENG DENG!!! Other than having a wide database for medical and healthcare service providers in Singapore, DocDoc.com also provides lotsa information and liaising services with regards to medical procedures in South Korea! We all know that's the place where cosmetics surgery is as commonly done as people everywhere else visit their dentist, or something. Lol.

DocDoc has plans to start up offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and other Pan-Asia locations as they expand but currently they have offices in Singapore and South Korea while they have patients from all over Asia, Russia, China, India, the UK and even the United States using DocDoc.com to find doctors in Korea and Singapore to schedule medical appointments when they are in town! =D

On the other hand it also means that if you are looking at any medical / healthcare provider in the countries listed, you can look it up on DocDoc.com as well! =D

I've been wanting to get my nose done if you've been following my blog, in this post (and a few others). Like since i was 13 yro i started to pick on my nose already. Like it's wayyy too fleshy, too big, too wide, and there's a freaking hump on it so in some pictures it looks like i have hooked nose. Sigh. Isn't this what most girls do?! Like picking out flaws on yourself.

And then people around you are all like "No lah it looks fine to me!" yeah, that's becox you don't look at it several times a day. Lol. So of course you won't hiam it lah. But i literately face it everyday ah.

Actually i am very happy and thankful =)) In 2007 i wrote a private post in my personal diary saying by age 21 i wanna get a boob job. I was one year late but it happened for me at age 22.

And i also wrote in the post by age 22 i wanna get a nose job. And i am 3 to 4 years late, but it came true too =))) It's either my diary has magic power..

Or i am just really lucky O.O

So lucky, that DocDoc.com email me to check if i'd be keen in collaboration, i replied saying i am only keen in getting a nose job so if they have any connection in that then keep me informed.

I know they are not a provider but that's really the only medical / healthcare related procedure i am keen in for now! I mean i also feel i really need to have work done to my jawline but that's quite drastic so one thing at a time haha. NOSE FIRST!!! Cox it's only getting more and more disturbing over the years.

To my utmost surprise..

Jon from DocDoc.com reply my email along the line of "Sure! Which country would you like to have it done in? Singapore? Korea? Let me know so I can get you more info. We'd love your followers to know about our new service. If you have a great experience, maybe you'll share about it."

I thought to myself.. "Is this guy serious or not!!! How can this be true!!!" I mean.. How can this be so easy? O.O I don't believe lah!

So i put the email aside for a long time and only got back to replying right after my wedding =X And it's true, Jon has been very sincere and enthusiastic and helpful all these while and he set me up with the cordinators from DocDoc Korea who help me set up consultation and help me plan my trip up.

We got everything fixed up and before that Jon got Josh to film the whole experience cox he saw the work Josh filmed for me like our wedding videos and other videos haha. Not bad ah, all these time i ask Josh to help me film this and that, who knows really got people appreciate his work haha.

After i got the greenlight to search for and choose my preferred doctor in Korea from DocDoc, i went through the comments and reviews on DocDoc.com from people who have their surgeries done in Korea and with some help from the people from DocDoc.com giving me suggestions and helping me ask the clinic whatever questions i have etc..

Decided to have Dr Lee Seok June from REGEN Medical Group to do my surgery! He's the leading Director of REGEN Medical Group and is known especially for the nose and faces he crafted for many KPOP stars and celebrities internationally! If you visit their website you'd see some of the celebrities that REGEN has worked with and some of them are pretty big names in Korea!

They have translators who can speak many languages and dialect and from one of the translator i get to know that many actresses and celebs from Hong Kong also go to REGEN =O But of course they won't be open about it lah. But they go to REGEN cox REGEN is one of the top, if not the top clinic in Seoul T.T I am very very lucky Dr Lee is willing to work on my face and nose.

So DocDoc help me set up a skype interview with the consultants from REGEN Medical Group

As you can see from the video, the consultant and the translator both from REGEN are very nice and friendly lah =D So it makes me feel even better that i decided on having my surgery done there!

More background story.. Sorry ah i know i very long-winded but this is a big thing for me and i wanna put it down as much as possible =))) I hope you girls are keen also lah!

I decided to do my surgery in Korea becox i want a nose that is.. Nice like the ones Kpop girls have. Like the kind i see ladies in K-Drama has. LIKE SONG HYE GYO omg =DDD

And i know different countries got their different style of doing the nose lor. Korea one is known to be natural looking + they can do really nice tip building with your own nose / ear cartilage.

Plus!!! After sending them my pictures, they suggest i do fat-grafting too, which is something i know i need anyway!!! And they are very good with it cox it's all the heat now in Korea, fat grafting! So i'm like, THIS HAS TO BE THE PLACE TO BE! Hahaha ^.^

So we set the dates.. And i ask Michelle along to accompany me cox.. Cox i know i will feel a lot better with her around!!! And then Josh couldn't leave his work in Singapore for 10 days so in the end he had to ask his assistant to stay in Singapore to handle the work here. But we still needed a helper for Josh so we got Monkey to help cox anyway Monkey has helped Josh a few times before! So tadahhh~  Four of us heading for Seoul =DDD I am super happy cox it makes it less like "SURGERY" for me. It's more like "HOLIDAY" so it makes me less anxious.

Gem came to send us off =))) How's my daisy knit wear looking? $4 only. Lol.
One last one of my sunken uneven face line and humpy hooked nose lol. This post is easy to edit cox i don't have to edit my face at all haha. Already going to fix it anyway, let this be history.

Reached Seoul!!! =DDD
Our sponsors arranged for the Ritz Carlton to provide us with a room and it was awesome. I expected a normal hotel so the Ritz Carlton was ten times beyond my expectation haha. I mean the fact that i am going to Korea for my surgery is already quite surreal! Their service and all *thumbs up*

Off to consultation at REGEN! =D They are located at Gangnam hahaha. Don't get started on the song. Gangnam is a really nice place! Will share more in my next few posts!

REGEN Tower is a 15 storey high building.. With each and every level catering a specialty procedure of its own. Like one whole level for eyes surgery, another for boob job, another for jaw contouring etc. It's just amazing when you see how they function. Very systematic, welcoming and professional.

One of the level.. They have a coffeehouse at this level and you can order whatever drink you want from there and just chill before your consultation / while you wait for your friend to have their surgeries done. Very considerate hor ^.^

While waiting to see the doctor.. I saw a REGEN photobook. Where their clients send in unedited pictures of themselves and keep track of the before / after. Holy god they make you go =OOO and then speechless.

And then i went to visit the DocDoc office in Korea and said hi to the people who have been helping me plan this! =D Ina and James sitting by my side ^.^

Everyone were super excited cox we're going to one of the nicest BBQ BEEF place in Korea.

So i said okay even though i don't take beef becox i am pretty sure they have other side dishes and anyway, i'd be okay with just kimchi and white rice. Haha. But in the end when they were taking orders, they ask roughly how many people want pork and how many beef, so they'd know how much to order.

When asked for pork, me and Mich were like the only two who raised our hands =.=" It's a bit embarrassing like everyone's shock like this lolol. So James casually ask if i take beef i'm like "No i don't but it's okay please go ahead i'm good wih pork!"

In the end he ordered pork for all i think he scared like it's cox of religion that i don't eat beef? End up everyone had pork. I feel so bad for them lah!!! =X They were all looking forward to the beef i could tell lolol. Even Josh was looking forward to try the beef.

Just wanna say i love brown / purple rice ^.^ And i feel that Singapore should change all normal white rice to these chewy rice like those they use in Japanese curry rice / sushi! =DDD

Went back to the hotel after shopping at Gangnam subway station and snapped a picture with this beautiful lady at the hotel lobby ^.^ She looks flawless. Also, i can't tell you the shopping is great becox if not i scared Cheesie will kill me but i'd just tell you, i bought quite a fair bit of stuff =XXX Hahaha. Sorry Cheesie!!!!!!! But this picture is kinda like tell-tale signs! =XXX
And then we went for early dinner at 5pm i think. This is their big pan fried rice? Mich's reco.
Last few pictures of me and Josh with my old nose and face = l Haha he quite poor thing lah. Just got married only but become like he have a new wife. Lolol.
Surgery is at 2.30pm the next day and i have to fast 8 hours before that so me and Josh ordered room service before we sleep. Just so i won't get too hungry!

For now.. I just wanna clear somethings up.

1) For those who say i should just eat more and grow the fats on my face instead of having to go for fat grafting, you so genius one. Like this everyone can grow boobs, and grow fats on their temple and chin for even face line and sharper chins, and as they wish. Right? YOU WISH.

Gaining weight doesn't balance out the fat-growth on your face lah!

THE KEY WORD HERE IS PROPORTION. Why would i wanna grow fat when all i want is just fats on certain parts of my face?

2) I didn't do surgery becox people say i look ugly in the Ah Boys to Men movie. I didn't do surgery becox anyone told me i am ugly. I mean, sometimes people (especially people online *stares*) do tell me i am ugly lol. But that's not why i did surgery.

I did the surgery for myself. Becox i want to have a nicer nose. Becox i don't wanna look tired and old and sunken with those hollow cheeks and protruding cheekbones and zygoma. I also wanna look more feminine, so i have to balance out those angular bone structure with fats.

I just wanna say that i don't think i look ugly before lah! I look decent, and especially with makeup and all, everyone can look pretty. Okay, not everyone, most people, with makeup, can look good. But i still choose to do surgery becox i wanna be even better-looking. That's all.

Let's say i am a 65/100 before surgery. That's not BAD-BAD. But there's absolutely nothing wrong if i want to do something to make me a 75/100. This is also a form of self-improvement and i am sure everyone is up for that.

3) Although the surgery is sponsored, i am not tied to write anything (positive) or NOT write anything (negative). I am sharing based on my experience and i am happy i'm able to share! So guys and girls out there who are keen to do the same things.. Are better prepared and have a better idea what to expect..

I have tried to think about why DocDoc chose me for this collaboration.. Other than me being extremely blessed and lucky.. I guess the honest answer would of course, partly, be if i find their service useful and like it, i'd be able to share my experience with the people i know, and people following me. Just like how i usually share where the cheapest bargain is.. Where i had a good lunch last Sunday etc. I share everything good / bad on my blog. Haha. That's pretty much a given.

After the meetings and emails exchanges with the guys from DocDoc.com, i think they already know i wanna do cosmetic surgeries for self-improvement / vanity, however you'd call it.

But they also realise that there are many people out there who are deserving of medical treatment for health reasons, or due to accidents or to being born with a birth defect of some type.

Hen's Night Part 3 ❤

Me and Mich looking cute ^.^

Erm.. The Hen's Night happened in late November. So i am sorry, you can choose to keep reading or not hahaha. But i strongly suggest you to. Since you're already here.

Didn't photoshop my face at all in this entire post. Just thought at least i can remember how i used to look. Haha. Also not say ugly until where, just wanna remember only. Thou the more i look at how i used to look, the more i am super duper thankful that i had surgery done. Freaking face need to be so jagged or not. Lolol.

Hen's Night Part 1 and Part 2 are linked up if you're keen =DDD

So after Niao Niao left for work, Huiwen left to go home and see Truff, Wendy went home to continue sleeping hahaha (she quite pregnant then already) and Sophie went back with everyone cox only left me and Zhen and Gem and Mich to stay for the night liao. Lol.

We waited up til 4am and then ordered McDee breakfast =DDD It made me soooo happy cox it's like a perfect ending to the day haha ^.^ And then we sleep and then Gem woke up early to go to some event.

So Mich and Zhen and i gone a bit crazy with the flowers and camhoring. Lolol. All the bouquets are sponsored by Assemble Happinest. They also did a very good job for my wedding if you remember!

And if you find the hotel room extra super pretty with the floral wallpaper etc.. It's thanks to The Sultan Hotel =DDD They have lotsa cozy rooms with different themes, all very pretty!

Thanks to Niao Niao, Wendy, Huiwen, Sophie, Mich, Zhen and Gem for making that day memorable for me =))) I have never organised anyone's hen's night before but they for sure set a high standard hahaha. When my gfs get married i will have a hard time planning a Hen's Night for them cox don't know how to make it more comfortable than this one!

We had like massage, manicure, sweet yummy dessert and nice dinner!!! =D

Happy just thinking about it again.

And it's like it didn't happen too long ago. Wendy was like halfway through the pregnancy then. In the blink of an eye Dash Dash come out liao ='))) Sigh~ It's so good that everyone around me is doing great in their life.

I mean like have you seen people, who are really sad and they only attract sad people and sad happenings into their life. I've seen lah. I also don't know why they so sway. It's like they cannot get out of the cycle like that. Feeling sad, do sad things, meet sad people, get into more sad drama. Lol.

By sad i don't mean sad-sad you know. I mean like just very very bad luck or is very whiney and angry and unbalanced in general. When i hear their stories or look at them.. I'm just like..

OH MAN. SO THANKFUL ME AND THE PEOPLE I LOVE ARE SOOO FORTUNATE.

QWeekly - Making it work

This week QWeekly blogazine issue features Sophie on the coverpage! Click to see! There's also a GIVEAWAY again and a very interesting OO7D feature =D

Hello!!! How have your week been ah?! =DDD Mine was awesome. I share with you what i did okay.

I COOED OVER DASH DASH A LOT. That's about it.

Haha. Dash Dash really is make a lot a lot of faces and expression one!!! I would loveee to say more but i also really wanna read Wendy's blogpost on Dash Dash first =))) Like i feel like.. I need that excitement also hahaha. Afterall i am also one of her loyal readers O.O Hahaha.

And then i also spent a lot of time trying to bling up the accessories and whatnot for giveaway soon. And also i created some headpiece and accessories ^.^ And learnt in the process that it's actually quite easy and that using a pair of pliers doesn't sound as intimidating to me now as compared to before.

It's actually really handy and easy to work around with. Haha. I will probably make more accessories. I don't know, for fun, for gifts to my friends and family. It's fun and easy, and it'd turn out unique so.

And Punggol is having pasar malam (at Meridian LRT) now ah. Every other day i'd go for the thai food. Quite yums!!! And most importantly, damn cheap and damn a lot. Hahaha. Like the tom yum fried rice is one person cannot finish one!

So leh, you know i've been working on QWeekly right. It's been very very very VERY enjoyable and fun and you might not believe it but i look forward to photoshopping other people more than myself!!! And i look forward to dressing them up more than on myself.

Having said that, i still LOVE to doll myself up a lot (on some days lol) but doing QWeekly has been very refreshing for me. I mean.. I can't be seeing my face my face my face every single minute, right.

I lied. I can. I LOVE TO LOOK AT MY OWN FACE. Sometimes, i just switch on photobooth on Mac, and then i switch it to video mode and let it run while i work on the computer =XXX

And then later i'd play it back and look at myself O.O

HAHAHAHA. It sounds like i am a little bit sick.

I also really really love to record myself singing O.O Okay i think we have quite enough of me. Lol.

Today i try to ask myself if making people see it the way i see it is even necessary.

Background story
Today i saw a little commotion on my instagram. I posted a picture of myself yesterday. Say really not say very chio lah but i had makeup on so i also don't think it's ugly / scary like how my makeupless pictures can get hahahah. Eh i also got self-realisation skills one lolol.

The commotion was this girl (maybe 11 or 12 or 13 max?) commenting "She is the ugliest thing i've ever seen" and then some people reply to tell her off very mildly and she keep coming back to comment saying things like her pictures are at least better than "this crap" (my photo). Haha.

So i went to her profile to take a look. I'm like HOLLY MOLLY SIMIDAIJI?!

I laughed a bit cox it's really like.. Whaaaaat?

So i screenshot her pictures in thumbnail and post it on my instagram to relate what happened. I can't lie, saying i didn't expect people to bash her online. I EXPECT people to do just that becox i understand how human beings react when they see something like this. But this is what everyone should expect. Expect from the understanding of how things work..

I didn't expect them to bash her by asking nor by saying "Bash her cox she's rude" that's not what i would most love to have happening to her, but that's what she should have expected when she troll on someone ; That people CAN choose to get back at her.

That if you do something bad, be prepared to get a reaction. And be prepared on how to handle the reaction. That is not too hard a concept to grasp right. Some people call it karma.

Take for example, me putting up her picture, I expected that there will be people giving me moral lessons on what i'm doing is wrong too, "two wrong doesn't make a right" what i should have done is to ignore, what i should not have done is to get petty with a 12 year old "She's just a 12 yro! Geez! What is wrong with you?"

What is wrong with me?

What is wrong with the society! Taking pity on people who deserves none.

12 year old kill your mother you don't get mad ah.

12 year old eat your last piece of the yummiest brownie on earth you don't get mad ah.

12 year old use black marker scribble "SO UGLY" on a painting you worked on for 3 days, you don't get mad ah.

Every other day a 12 year old come throw an egg at you, you don't get mad ah!!!

Dare to tell me she's only 12 year old.

12 year old dua ki?!?!

I was 12 year old once! You were 12 year old once! Did you go around telling people "You're ugly" and when told to stop, you just keep doing it more?! Did you?!

12 year old leh. You can already understand the multiplication times table but you don't understand what is BASIC MANNERS MEH? Mai lai.

She's just being extremely annoying and nonchalant about hurting people's feeling lah!

And this would probably be how she's going to grow up being, if nobody shows her what is "Action ↔ Reaction"

I am just showing her what to expect if and when she do something bad to people. I can handle the reaction from what i do in hope to make her understand what she did was wrong. But she can or not? Cannot don't ever do something like that again, it's very simple.

Like i always believe, a good person, even after making a mistake, can come out of any ordeal or problems in their life, a better person. If the person is ill-natured then no matter what, things are not going to turn out well. So this can be a turning point for her if she takes it well lah! I didn't even charge her. And i have to go through people judging me for it. I say i deserve some credit. Lolol.

And then more irritating that there are people telling me "If you really want her to understand you should say it to her nicely, teach her what is right and wrong" Oh really.. Cox last time i checked i didn't give birth 12 years ago.

Then i think we can safely conclude that that would be..... Her mother's job.


I am sorry i can't be holding everyone's hands and telling them softly at their ears "Hey there sweetie pie, you are 12 year old you should be in school having the best time with your classmates and bestfriend, playing sports you like, do cheerleading if it makes you happy, chase a butterfly in the garden or kick a ball, or write in autograph books, play with instagram if that's what you enjoy but you can't be going to random people's pictures and leave them nasty comments okay? Becox people have feelings too. And if you make them angry they can do things back at you and you can't blame them for that cox you had a choice earlier and you choose to plant a bad seed"

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, i am one person and i don't have time to smooth-handle all the 12 year olds especially not when parents are giving phones with data to more and more kids of more and more younger age.

Heck, Baby Yurou is 1 year old 20 months and she has one iPhone and one iPad to herself. Thank god she only use them to play games like plucking beansprouts and making pancakes.

In short, do only good things. Or do mean things but don't get caught. Or do do mean things, get caught and be a better person. Just be good or shut up, is the best lah.

Thanks to these super nice and friendly ladies from 7-Eleven, they made the event that evening really enjoyable and fun =D And cute of course =DDD I mean check out the giant Hello Kitty haha.
Went on a quick mini tour around the 7-Eleven outlet and as you guys might have known from my previous post on 7-11, you can almost find ANYTHING you might need urgently, 24/7, at 7-Eleven!
These are highly recommended!!!! I didn't try the beef but it's highly raved =D Quickbites at 7-Eleven is pretty awesome! Affordable and good!
Pastries and puff baked fresh in the shop!!! They also bake cookies fresh in the shop =D
Bloggers gather around while waiting for the microwave to heat up their food haha.
Each takes about a few seconds to like maybe 20 seconds. Indeed quick and easy! And you have sooooo many choices at 7-Eleven!!! Rice, pizza, pasta, macaroni, rice, noodle etc!!!
And the dessert spread is pretty amazing too eh! =D
Even if you prefer fresh fruits for dessert, they have! =D These are just some of the selection for fruits. I also spot kiwi, plum and grapes at the chiller!
If you wanna grab a munchie after meal, try their waffle!!! Smells like heaven for sure! And the staff all say they major love it, i trust them! Cox their recommendation for the meal was yummy haha.
I also bought this for myself and for Baby Yurou ^.^ Haha. $2.60 for such a big box!
Oh oh oh. THIS IS WHY I AM IMPRESSED!!!!! This 7-Eleven outlet at UE Square, has this food counter that serves really affordable and yummy sides and noodles!!! Look a combo is only $2.50 where you get noodles + sides!!! =OOO How affordable!!!

Before i go on rambling about how genius and creative (you'd find out in a bit hahaha) i am, can i please have a show of hands

He eat something he say nice, i eat it too. She looks like this, i find it chio, i take her picture and show my plastic surgeonJUST KIDDING~ Lololol O.O

Okay so anyway. My point is.. It's true we're all quite similar to a certain extend lah.

But there are always little things we can do to differentiate ourselves =DDD

Some of you like to wear a certain cologne / perfume that might shout YOU, some of you keeps a certain hairstyle that speaks YOU, some of you tYpE a CeRtAiN wAy at some of time in your life to to show your friend you are cool. Hahaha. Some of us have genetic illness like having the inability to type "becox" properly, that'd be my style babeh. Lolol.

All i am saying is.. We keep doing little things to differentiate ourselves!

And i totally second that notion! To explore "DIFFERENT".

Sometimes different is a lonely road..

Yeah that's right, me~ I did it =DDD Hahaha. Correction. I DIY-ed it! Haha. And to me it'd the first piece on earth that'd ever look like that. I mean after that if got people want to copy that's their business lah but actually i also don't think i did a fantastic job that people would wanna copy lolol.

But i'd tell you.. In less than 10 minutes, i made myself TWO pieces of accessories that is unique!!! That no one else in the world has before me =DDD Isn't that ultra cool!!!
Change my record to 3 pieces of accessories in 10 minutes. Other than the pink and blue crystal one, i also made a purple one with the colourful charms i got =D And they all look SO simple and cute!!!

By the way! Thanks to Josh for the pretty pictures again =X If you see any nice pictures of me / professional looking pictures of the items, it's all taken by him haha ^.^ The low-light / harsh flash ones are taken by me. Yes i do take a lot of pride in my work. Thank you. Lolol.

For this advert, i get to pick out whatever i like to make whatever i like =D Haha. To be different, we need freedom and freedom is exactly what i get! So.. I picked a lot of stuff from the shop O.O Haha actually it's becox I didn't have any idea of what i wanna do to show you guys for my first ever "DIY" lah. BUT ANYWAY~ JUST DO IT!
So i picked out these bracelets and necklaces from the shop. As you can see~ I already cheated half the way through becox it's all like 90% done. Lolol. Some you just have to glue the hook on. AND, they are so affordable, like one dollar plus nee O.O For synthetic leather i think it's pretty cheap lah!

Same outfit but with hair let down, and with a girly purple necklace.. It's another feel and mood-change =D I just realise my hair colour blends quite well with my skirt lolol.

You know when i write this advert, i keep thinking about "Being different". Let me sidetrack a bit from the advert okay. You know i've been doing makeover for QWeekly right.

From the hundreds of emails i receive from girls who want a makeover.. A good half of them will mention they wanna try something different.. But you know what i think..

I think that it's actually not that difficult to be different.

But it is hard to let it shine. You know. Let the "Different" in you shine through.

The headpiece is the piece i am most proud of lor!!! I posted a preview on instagram and a lot of people say nice nevermind, got a few were like "OMG I NEED THAT HEAD PIECE", "WHERE DID YOU BUY THAT!!!" *annoying smirk on face* lol.
The bracelet i made it a bit too big but can adjust one lah.
I love the idea that only i have these accessories in this whole wide world!!!! ^.^

Actually i tell you the truth lah okay, i am not very interested in DIY accessories before this advert one. Like i like to bling stuff ever since i saw how Wendy did it in her early GTL videos and blogposts but i always have this misconception that DIY accessories are hard cox you need to mess with things like pliers, rings and hooks etc.. @.@

These are not ordinary lippies. I got them from Korea. They are mood-lipsticks. Actually they are like mood-rings, not sure if you guys know of! They change colour according to your body temperature. But it's also a lip-stain. So the colour is pretty strong lasting.

The pink one will turn into a baby pink stain and the purple will turn into bright pink / purple-ish depending on your temperature. There was supposed to be an tangerine colour one also. But Josh help me bling that one and only item.. And he glued the cap and body together  =_________="

Hey! How's your week been?! I hope it's been good! Cox you know what they say.. Good is always good. Lololol. I say one lah. But it's true, good is always good.

On this week's QWeekly i got Cheesie and Audrey on the cover =DDD

That's Cheesie curling her fringe. I curled the rest of her hair with some three-prong hair curler.
Audrey looking pretty ^.^ AHEM i did her make up!!! *pats own shoulder* Good job! Lolol. Also pat Audrey's shoulder cox she very courageous let me do her makeup from scratch. Hahaha. Cheesie came with like foundation and blusher all. I only touch up a bit nee.

Anyway ah if you are wondering how come don't have my own pictures, i am sorry!!! I have to bring lotsa barang and all to shoot most of the time and i am really more engrossed about the covergirl / makeover subjects look good than myself lah. Like very exciting to see them look pretty on cam ^.^

And then i also getting a bit worried cox doing these actually interest me a lot! Like every time before a shoot for other people i'd picture how pretty they'd look etc. And then don't have braincells to think of how pretty i wanna look lololol. EXCUSE. What if from 幕前 i become 幕后 =OOO Haha. Or maybe i very talented i can be 幕前幕后.

I was telling Josh i wanna learn how to style hair ^.^ What you all think ah! I don't wanna learn makeup becox all makeup school teach very stage / drama / wedding / cement-thick makeup one. Lol.

Or maybe i should learn clothes-making =DDD Last time i got want to sign up some basic clothes-making class at SPOTLIGHT one. But then in the end i never becox i remember how i do cross-stitch do until all ten fingers must wrap handyplast. Lolol. And then i also remember how i jam and spark off fire shoots from using the electronic sewing machine for Home-Econs class in secondary school.

After that my permanent Home-Econs partner became my Home-Econs teacher. That was also becox during practical lesson for cooking, i smoke up the pan with oil i don't even know how that happened.

So i don't think i am very good with appliances. So how?

Omg shit. If i learn how to style hair there's also a chance i will burn someone's hair with the hairdryer!!!!! =OOOOO

I better just stay home and kiao ka when i'm free.

Day to Day Recovery (Nose Job / Fat Grafting Part 2)

5th March was the day of the surgery =) This post is gonna be of my day to day recovery before my splint is removed.. Will show you guys more pictures of my recovery after removal of the splint. But for now, you can see very good results on my face from the fat-grafting. Fat-grafting is da bomb, i swear.

Couldn't have happened so smoothly without them. Thankful for the coordinators at DocDoc for helping me settle everything with the doctor, consultants etc =)

Actually you can search for the doctors / email DocDoc to ask them to find a doctor to your specifications, like i search through their website and read about how REGEN Medical Group is one of the best (if not the best) in Seoul, that's why i was happy that REGEN is also the one that DocDoc recommended for my surgeries.

So if you have any specification of what kind of doctor you need / country / area you'd like to do your procedures in, you can either use the DocDoc website to search for it, or if you really have no better idea / lazy to read, you can just email to ask DocDoc lol.

Of course if you're in Singapore, you can just browse the DocDoc site to get information easily. But if you want more information about Medical Tourism in South Korea, you can read up HERE =)

The info there help better prepare myself for the trip also =D But most importantly is the DocDoc support team really offered me a lot of help while planning for the trip. So when i landed in Korea, and arrived at the clinic, there's nothing to worry about!!!

At the clinic.. Final few pictures of my old face haha. My skin was doing good lor!!! I wanna get it back into that condition again soon!!! =D

My nostrils is quite unbalanced from alarplasty done in Thailand haha. I deserve it lah. I was thinking "So cheap, don't care just do" Lol. But it's fine, i am okay with it cox not obvious in real life. And you can still see the scar lol. But it's also okay! Cox i have also come to terms with it dee. Lol.
With Michie =DDD This picture is our last picture together before i go fix my face haha.
After bloodtest i go for consultation with my doctor, Dr Lee Seok June. Hahahaha i look ridiculous here. The red markings are where i need fats. I agree. Haha.

If you're keen in doing the same procedures or any procedures, i hope the videos will prep you better for it. It's not the surgery that is worrying lor. It's the anticipation that is scary.

I cried a bit in the video what the heck. Can't say i'm touched thou that moment i really felt like "What am i doing! My dad thinks i am the most beautiful already do i really need to do this!"

But hey hey, now-now, that i'm recovered, i think i made the best choice ever to go ahead with it. Lolol. Really is look much awake and less sickly and less tired!!! And look kinda younger also =D

Right after the surgery. I actually don't remember when and where this shot was taken cox i was still pretty much in a daze from the sedation.

Actually the surgery would take like 2 to 3 hours max. But mine took about 5 hours plus in the end cox i don't have enough fats for them to draw lol. So they had to work around it but it got done in the end! =DDD And then becox the surgery time extended, i think they also added to the sedation effective time.. So people usually sleep for 1 hour after the surgery.. I think i slept for 3 hours hahaha.

Not sure if it's cox of the increased sedation or cox i was just really sleeping well. Lol.

I have to warn you a bit first. Better buff yourself up if you wanna do fat grafting lolol. You'd have a much easier time. Cox if they can get enough from either your abdomen (tummy lah lolol) or under butt (the line between butt and thigh, got lotsa loose fats there lolol), they don't have to take from your thigh. But i don't have much at the tummy for them to take so other than the under butt, they also had to draw fats from my back thigh.

Which.. Will end up looking like this, but it doesn't feel as bad as it looks, i promise lol. AND the good news is, your back thigh, are where the fats are MOST STUBBORN. And will therefore stay longer at your face for longer-lasting results!!! Fat-grafting results can last 3-5 years depending on individual.

There. If you notice, there's a small standalone dot, at the bottom, right? That's the point they draw the fats from underbutt. And it's very tiny one!!! Smaller than mosquito bites.

So if you have flabby asses that are very fatty.. As bad as it sounds.. It's great for withdrawal of fats for fat grafting to your face. Lololol. Then you no need to bruise your thighs mah! =D Haha.

Night of Surgery Day
Lolol. Don't know why i look sad here i wasn't. I just really woke up from the daze. When i was previewing this picture i was like "Wah i look so bouncy" Lolol. Don't even know what that means.
Be prepared for lotsa face shots. Haha. Like this you can follow through my day to day recovery ma.
This time there was cotton bud in my nose.

So ah, the whole night you have to breath through your mouth. It was winter time then, weather is really cold and dry. So even in the hotel room, your mouth will feel very dry and.. You might not believe, but your tongue will become crispy one. Lolol. Really. So remember to drink a lot of water.

I am surprised i didn't get a sore throat! I constantly wake up to sip a bit of water. Sometimes i sleep too long i'd wake up to crispy tongue. Haha. So have to keep the water in my mouth until my tongue soften again. Lolol. Kinda like.. Fish maw. Hahaha.

But other than that, you have no pain on the nose job one.

Day 1 of recovery after surgery
Room service breakfast before i head off to REGEN to remove the cotton buds and clean up the wound a bit! =D
After removal of the cotton bud =DDD
Quite excited to see my nose soon!!! Cox i think the tip will be really.. Tippy? Lolol. On the 7th day i'd be able to see it ^.^ Oh if you notice like little clear plaster on my face.. Those are the point where they inject the fats into. It'd recover in less than two weeks and wil disappear. Kinda like pimple.

So the opening is at the columella. And then they insert the implant after they file off the hump on my nose bridge. Before all that, they'd shave all your nostril hair off. It's awesome. I mean the part about shaving all my nostril hair haha. My nostrils look clean for quite a few days lol.
Pumpkin juice that's great for deswelling ^.^ Also medicines that they pack into morning, noon and night for their patients ^.^

I didn't want to tell the doctor of my allergy to antibiotics becox i don't know which kind i am allergic to and i always just try and then see how it turns out =X I know it's bad!!! But it has never kill me.

Lolol. Out of the many times i took antibiotics, only one time i ended up in the hospital cox throat got swollen also and it became hard to breathe. But other times it's just swollen eyes. Like this. LOL.

So!!! I decided to try it anyway haha. And turns out.......

Day 2 of Recovery
Really got swollen eyes O.O But but but..

You won't believe it but i didn't think that the swelling of the eyes was actually.. Swelling from the allergy O.O I didn't make the link. I thought it was just oh, my face is swollen from fat-grafting.. So i guess maybe some fats from the forehead got to my eyes.

I know, i am hopeless. They didn't operate on my brain, how did i manage to become more stupid after the surgery lolol. So for like the next 2 or 3 more days, i happily took the antibiotics still O.o

Josh went out to get me pumpkin porridge ^.^ It was freaking cold outside that day. Like maybe 2 or -2 degree Celsius i can't remember. He really took good care of me =') Thank you.. =))
Inside got like riceball, and some kind of wheat.. And lotsa pumpkin and porridge ah. I am sure it's very nutritious.. But it's sweet porridge O.O I don't know how to appreciate. Lol.

Day 3 of recovery
Can slowly see the shape of my face and I AM LOVING IT ALREADY!!!!!!!! =DDD Especially the forehead!!! And the chin!!! AND MY CHEEKS!!! All filled up!!! No more sunken hollow parts!
Shit man. If i never take the antibiotics, my recovery pictures will look slightly chioer lol. Without swollen eyes. But nevermind lah, the swollen eyes don't look very obvious, people will just think i am generally bloated lol.

Day 4 of recovery
Ahem.. I feel quite chio on day 4 lololol. Like the shape of the face really looking love!!! BUT..... This is also when people started saying i look like Michelle...... =____=" Lolol.
No offense.. But people do surgery usually want to look like celebrities / models. Nobody wanna look like their bff one okay. Lolol. Oh by the way, i stop taking the antibiotics at night.
Michelle say my doctor might have spotted her on the day of surgery and thought to himself "Oh what a perfect face, i am very inspired! I shall make my patient look like her!" That, or she say the translator might mistook when i say "This is my bestfriend" as "I wanna look like her" Lolol.

Day 5 of recovery
Day 5 i look like Baby Yurou what the heck. Lolol. Not that it's bad to look like a baby but Baby Yurou also not pretty hahahaha. She's the cutest to me but.. You know.
How, really got a bit look like Baby Yurou right. Lolol. Or more like Michelle =( Lolol.

Day 6 of recovery
Face not so swollen anymore =D

Plus i can smile a bit more liao haha.

Day 7 of recovery (Stitch removal day)
Breakfast at the hotel before i go have my stitches removed! =D I LOVEEEEE the salmon!!! Got like deep-fried garlic on top one omg. It was heavenly. I had like 4 big pieces.
Then Mich came to find me to accompany me to remove stitches and for my final consultation with the doctor to make sure everything's okay =D
And this is how i look on day 7. Really super love my face shape now!!!! Sooooo much better than previously, which was all like uneven and angular. Now it's filled and soft! =D
It also soften my cheekbone and jawline a bit i feel!!! =D Look less manly. Will show you before and after pictures soon!!! Stay tuned!!! Cox..

QWeekly - I have too little hands.

On the cover of this week's QWeekly - Rachell (pxdkitty)! =DDD Click on pic to browse blogazine ah! I really spend one whole week to do every issue please don't waste it lolol.
Some behind the scene. Rach is super easy to shoot lah! Every shot also look good i think cox her face super small =O Josh and i ate all the macarons Rach brought to the shoot for me hahaha. It's pink and shimmery one, thank you ah!!! ^.^ Please bake more often and come for more shoots =X LOL.

Love the pictures for her cover becox i put on really light eye makeup for her hahah. Almost like nothing. Compared to her usual makeup it.. Really is like nothing. Hahaha. She's not used to it but i think she look pretty!!! What do you think!!! =DDD I think she look Koreanish with lesser eyeliner! Strange thou cox the Koreans are into thick eyeliner haha.

I know quite a lot of you were asking HOW and asking me to show the step by step or the making of, especially for the makeover part. Not say i don't want. It's really no time =( Unless i have a personal assistant who can help me snap pictures if not i really cannot leh sorry! Actually when i go for all the QWeekly photoshoot so far, i also got put makeup one. Or at least light makeup lah.

But nobody take pictures of me ='( Lololol. I think cox Josh assume i doing backend work so he can't be bothered to snap pictures of me lolol. So. You see. I don't even have people to snap pictures of me and also no time to snap pictures of myself, how to have hands to snap pictures for the makeover.

Like you see ah, one day we shoot 4 girls for makeover and before them, we shoot me for cover. So once i am done with me, i have to do makeup for girl 1 and then Shio will do her hair, while i do makeup for girl 2, so on and so forth. And then if i have any spare time, i'd be looking out for the photo-shooting part. Josh knows more or less what i want so it's much easier but still no time no hands no eyes to snap more pictures while i am doing makeup for the girls. So i am sorry ah!

In any case the way i apply makeup for them, is very similar to applying makeup for myself hahaha. Except i don't extend their eyeliner as long as i do for myself, nor do i make their eyes as droopey as mine =X Hahaha. So maybe i'd just do a makeup tutorial video on my blog soon lah okay! =D

Second day after surgery i feel all better so we went out in the evening to walk see a bit ^.^

Snap a picture with this building cox it looks really nice when i saw it in real life haha. But then in picture it doesn't look so nice anymore. How's my $3.70 huge scarf?! =D Bought it on my first day in Korea ^.^

One thing i love love love about Korea is how cheap their strawberries are =OOO Like REALLY cheap compared to in Singapore =(  Singapore is maybe minimum $6 plus? And mostly sour one. And if you buy the Korea Strawberries in Singapore, it's usually $11+ and above.

1000 won is about $1.10 SGD.

You see lah! As cheap as $3+ for one box of strawberries!!! =OOO And the more premium ones are $6+ =OOO I don't know if it's possible to get any side-effects from eating too much strawberries but we have A LOT of strawberries! A lot. Hahaha. Singaporean

And with the best husband Josh becox i only have one husband. LOL. He really took good care of me also! Suo yi wo jue wo hen lucky during the whole trip =D Except when his laptop crash *ANGRY*

Went into a random eatery and i asked for fried rice and then i ask for extra egg and the auntie told me off hahaha. Not in the mean way lah. Just saying the fried rice already have 3 eggs mixed in and that i shouldn't eat so many eggs in one day. Hahaha. Auntie obviously don't know i am 鸡蛋狂. Lol.
Me and Josh ^.^ My furry cap nice not ^.^ Bought it for $2 or something.
Korea's version of ramen. It's just instant noodle but they add eggs and cheese to it it's awesome becox i love instant noodles O.O
A simple fish cake soup. Their fish cake is of a flat piece. Different from our sliced from chunks one.
My egg fried rice with ketchup and lotsa seaweed. Their seaweed very nice cox got mix with seasoning powder one haha. But it's actually just salt lah i think.
Went on a socks spree with Mich and Monkey haha. It's about $1+ - $2+ a pair for the cuter ones ^.^
Bomb biscuit O.O It's like chocolate coated biscuits, and then when you buy it, the dude will crack it with some kind of hammer thing for you haha. The guy won't have anger issues i think. Anytime angry just hammer these biscuits after that will feel better one becox they smell so sweet. Haha. We bought one to share ^.^ The chocolate one. It's kinda like pocky in a different form.
Mich met her boyfriend, i don't know what's his name but Mich calls him "My Baby Kim". She very erxin. Ahahaha. Ren jia de lian bi ni xiao, how can be your bf =X Hahaha.
After some shopping ay Dongdaemon, we went for Lotte fast food. Meh =X
Back to the hotel room we have our own STRAWBERRY AND FRIED CHICKEN PARTY!!!!!!! It was awesome. These pointy sharp strawberries are soooooooo sweet and big and juicy! Two layers of them, we finished everything + other snacks that i didn't care enough to snap pictures of becox i am only interested in the strawberries and the fried chicken. Lol.
Small chicken wings are the best. Becox they just taste better and have less meat to chew on. Not sure if you feel the same as me. But i really lost interest in big chunks of chicken meat =X That's why i still love 4fingers becox they use really small chicken =D Hawker center / coffeeshop de chicken wings are all really huge i don't love! Oh and, the fries are awesome good. Even when cold it taste great. Of course it taste best when it's hot lah. But you know they say, good food taste good even when cold. Lol. Last time the manager at the restaurant i worked at tell me one. And i agree!
Next day ^.^ Lobby of Ritz Carlton hotel ^.^ They have a girl in traditional Korean costume most of the time! ^.^ And i swear i was smiling in all the pictures =( But cannot tell cox face swollen lolol.
Went to looksee around the hotel de morning market ^.^

Went to Itaewon for lunch. One of the tastier meals we had in Korea. It's located in a very very not obvious corner of a small alley. Haha. I WAS THE ONE WHO SPOTTED IT. Haha. Everyone was happy becox everyone's food were good!

Mich's pork. Very nice also. Josh and Monkey both ordered beef soup in a pot thing and they both LOVED it but i don't wanna snap a picture of their food cox it's all like.. Brown/ Black looking? Lol.

And then we went to Ehwa Uni area ^.^ Hop inside this random cafe cox we were feeling too cold. Great choice!!! Cox the cakes are all very nice ^.^ Especially chestnut cake you see on the right.

Sugared strawberries and grapes. I didn't eat it cox the crystalised sugar will prick my tongue lol.
Went back to around the hotel to rest and then head out for dinner at this cute place call Kanival.
The fries was so good. I love all battered fries!!!
Fiery drumlets. Didn't eat them cox Josh say they are very nice but is a bit too spicy.
Kimchi risotto!!! =D This was nice but they sprinkled too much chili flakes on top! So i had to eat around it! Haha.

Okay lah! A lot more pictures of food and Mich than myself cox i can't smile very well lolol. Overall i think Korea is really really good for shopping for cosmetics and skincare products!!!

Their clothes are quite cheap too but by cheap i mean $10 SGD (dresses/ cardi) - $40 SGD (for very nice ones). And then i bought all the $5 - $6 ones!!! Haha. Mostly basics like plain tee shirt, sweater, knit wear, simple cardigan and leggings!! Oh oh oh, i bought this pair of floral leggings (despite Mich begging me not to lolol) in bright yellow and blue omg i major love it!!! $5 only!!!

Next time show you all lah okay! I mostly bought makeup and skincare and maskssssssss. But i couldn't take pictures of the loots cox there were too much =X I spent another $100 USD to buy an extra baggage for our flight home =X So when i got home, the night itself i already started packing like what to give to who, so the next day i went on to deliver them. BECOX if i don't do it, i can't walk around my beauty room at all. That is how much i bought. Lolol.

Sorry guys i can't be of much help in answering your questions on what and how much becox DocDoc was the one who took care of my whole trip, from flight to hotel to the clinic and doctor for my surgeries, they were the ones who gave me advice and suggestions so i can't be giving you suggestions cox i don't know also ah! Diary of my encounters with taxi drivers

I take taxi at least 10 times a week. Usually more. That's about 50 times a month.
And i think with this vast experience i have with different taxi drivers almost everyday, i am qualified to write a book about the taxi drivers in Singapore. But i think i'd start with a blogpost. Lolol.

Actually what inspire this post was cox i was tweeting about one of my taxi encounter (AGAIN!!!) and then this follower reply me and say i should write a book about my encounters with taxi drivers.

Haha. Good idea, follower. Thank you. I am sure i'd love to remember the taxi driver spitting phlegm into his plastic bag of phlegm collection, for the rest of my life =D Hahaha.

Of course if i can don't remember it's even better lah!!! But if it might be interesting to you guys, i'd share! Hahaha. But some of the incidents i came across, is not i can choose to remember or not one, it's really scar me for life one O.O

Like one time, about 4 years ago, i hop onto a cab (mint green and white colour one) really fast cox it was picking me up by the road. Soon as i sit down and shut the door (all in maybe 1 or 2 seconds) i swear to god i froze. Like i remember only my eyeballs moved to scan the interior of the WHOLE taxi. And i only dare look around for a few seconds. Becox.. The whole inside of the taxi..


Was filled with stuff like these!!!
Lots and lots of these!!!!!!!!

Trust me, it's not the "I am going to bai bai with my family later" kind of lots. IT'S STICK-ON, PASTED ON, HOOKED ON, TIED ON, HUNG ON EVERYWHERE, covering the whole car.

Car ceiling also have =OOO

Front window, also have some, the driver only had just enough space to see the side side mirror and the front. Anyway.. The taxi uncle (I don't think very old lah, oldest is maybe 45) ask..

"你要去那里?" Asking where i wanna head to.

So it took me quite a while to respond becox i was in total shock, scared shitless. Like what if he's a serial murderer!!!!!!!!!

So i replied like with shivering voice and only manager to mumble out a "我..." Then he asked in the most calm (which makes it more eerie) and slow manner, "你怕啊..?" (Asking if i'm scared).

ERM OF COURSE I SCARED LAH!!!!!!!! I don't even dare to look at him or his rear screen mirror!!! Cox i scared i'd see a ghost or something sitting beside me, i was just very very scared cox i got this feeling he is scared of something in his car that's why he have to put these stuff in his car to send offering to the ghost or whatever! O.O I couldn't think straight and i'm all like illogical already.

So i never reply right i just keep rubbing my fingers and looking down cox i really don't dare to anyhow look around anymore. My hair already all standing and i'm breaking out into scold sweat dee.

I know i very humji but you tell me if you're in that car with this eerie uncle you won't be scared lol. So then he ask "你想不想一起去兜兜风?" (Asking if i wanna go for a ride together).

I might be over-sensitive but i feel when he said "together" he actually meant him and me and the ghost(s) in his car O.O Lolol now i think back i think i'm too superstitious already. He probably have mental illness only. So i become like a bit teary already and i ask him "Sorry ah.. 请问我可以下车吗..?" I ask him if i can get off.

So he was like "啊? 你要下车啊? 你怕啊? 没有什么好怕的.. Okay 好.."

So i got off and he drove off and i stood where i alighted for like 5 minutes to just calm my nerves. Lolol. I am actually laughing at how ball-less i am hahaha.

So this is the most strange incident lah.

And then one time i tweeted about a taxi uncle who has like 10 over big bulky packs of unknown stuff wrapped in plastic bags. All stuffed in his car. And there's this very bad dead rat smell all through out. I was soooo thankful it was a short ride. And i asked if i can open the window. I thought of what he could be keeping in those bags. What if.. It's dismantled body parts =OOO Lolol.

Talk about bad-smelling taxi. One other time, i hop onto a taxi and then all i smell.. Was urine. Like old, concentrated urine smell =___=" It is very gross cox it's so choking i can sort of feel urine air going down my throat i don't know how to describe!!! Lol. And then i look around.......

I SAW A BOTTLE OF 1/2 to 3/4 FILLED 1.5L BOTTLE FULL OF YELLOW SEE-THROUGH FLUID!!!!!!! I BET MY LIFE ON IT THAT IT MUST BE PEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was placed right under the driver's seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must be pee right?? I really don't think it's chrysanthemum tea lor! It looks clear of particles (unlike home-brewed chrysanthemum tea) but it's kinda like a darker tone of yellow.

This one i remember was a longer ride so i really is stick my face at the window the whole time.

I don't understand leh! Why must you pee in the bottle lah, just take a quick break go pee in toilet cannot meh! I mean i've heard from some taxi drivers that they don't leave their taxi one, so drink kopi, eat also is all in the taxi. But cannot be so unhygenic right?

Like one time i also hop onto a taxi with the taxi uncle spitting phlegm into a plastic bag. I understand he is feeling unwell lah. But that whole bag is all his phlegm can you imagine. It's not say very little leh!!! I think it's a collection from the start of his shift. And it's all germs lah.

Other than the fact that it's gross and unhygienic, i also think it's a very stupid thing to do. Becox you like this work + soak yourself around germs, then how you get well? Earn money is important but if no health / no life to spend the money also cannot work out right.

And then another time, i got onto the cab and the driver seem quite nice lah. Like polite and all. So it was all fine until about half way through the ride he asked me..

"Do you follow the news? With all the earthquakes and flooding happening around the world now.. Do you think we can survive?"

I'm like.. "..... Er...? Yes?"

He's like "Woah you are very optimistic. The people i've asked so far all feel that we cannot survive. They feel the end of the world is coming very soon"

*Silence*

Less than 1 minute later he go again "Miss ah, earlier when i ask you about whether or not we can survive, is becox...." And then he spend the next 5 minutes telling me about God and his greatness (which is a bit annoying but it's fine) and how we must all believe in him if not we will be taken away by natural disaster and that God is the one who created these natural disaster in order to firm up the beliefs among people and that the only way to survive is to believe in Him. A bit =__="

Then he say say say actually nevermind one but he keep asking me leading questions and i feel if i don't have a correct answer to it (which will be an answer he wanna hear) he will give me more lecture like this. Like he ask me "God has a plan. Do you believe? Today you hop onto my cab, it's also part of his plan. So that i can share with you on how we can survive with our belief in him"

I told him to stop very politely and i say i am a free-thinker and he's all like, "You can't say this you know. Becox you are also enjoying what he have provided for us - we are his children, right?"

WA EH LAO PEH EH NAME IS BOON KAK. He provided for me and raised me when i was young. And he have only 6 daughters and no have a nutcase son like you. Irritating max!!!!!!!

I don't care if you wanna yabber on about how great your god and your belief is. BUT DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN / CANNOT THINK AND SAY LAH.

So at this point i was very annoyed already i don't even wanna hear him talk lah! So i tell him "Actually you can stop becox i am not interested. Sorry ah" He's like.. "Not interested..? Haha" Like laugh at me for being ignorant and for not knowing better. HANAH YOUR GOD DAMN BEST.

Anyway he didn't really stop. Every now and then through the ride he will still say / ask a bit. I give him the silent treatment. Then before i alight he say "God bless you" Bless you lah you need it more.

Then also one more i find very strange!!! I have by far, twice, took cabs, with the wife of the driver sitting in the cab!!! Why ah! I don't know is it cox the wives are just bored so decided to go join the husband for work or more likely i think the wife is paranoid about the husband cheating on her during his work hours. Haha. Sound more likely hor? =X

And then since i am already rambling so much and is on a roll with it haha, i might as well also share what kind of taxi drivers i come across mostly. A few typical types lah.

The Dua Kang Yao Xiu (Boastful ones!)
I met many taxi drivers who say they only drive taxi for fun becox they have other big businesses / they have investment in this and that business, they just wanna have a transport vehicle for their family cox don't wanna always drive the BMW out (really one young chap told me this before i'm like =___=" Yeah right). And then got some really wanna smoke you big time.

One time a taxi driver was just going on and on about how he is actually a photographer but he drive taxi cox it's cheaper than buying his staff a car...... Only towards the end then i tell him my bf (now husband) is also a photographer and he shoots for commercial ads and all and i ask the dude for his company name and he's all like "Oh not very big lah my company!" Okay then you talk so much just now for what. Lol.

I am sure there are taxi-drivers who really do very well / raised up their children well and big and the children are doing well and they really drive taxi to kill time, i have met a uncle who is quite nice lah and then after talking about his family then only i realise he owns like 2 condos and rents it out and the kids are like lawyer / working overseas expat / youngest child is medical student kind. And i don't think he's boastful lah, i think he is very very wise and does good planning and is very capable and noble for raising up three good capable child by driving taxi =D

The has-been
Those who keep talking about their glory past. Like they see this need to tell you they were more than taxi drivers once. Actually what's so bad about being a taxi driver lah!!! If i can drive and if i am not such an idiot with directions and with my hand + leg coordinations, i also wanna be taxi driver lor! Their income is not bad one you know!!! Years ago i really had plan to be a taxi driver =X

I was like "I can't wait to turn 30 and be a taxi driver!". Whole day so carefree. Everyday go different places, meet different people. And yeah you have a car!!! That can make you money instead of depreciate in value and make you lose money haha.

So anyway talking about the has-beens. They mostly used to own businesses before and then business fail or business partner cheat their money, or they were VP / GM / manager in the corporation but got retrenched or just got tired of the corporate world, so they say. Or some used to be sign-ons with the army etc lah. they all have very colourful stories to tell and i sometimes quite enjoy listening to their stories but provided they are not sad and sour about how they end up a taxi driver lah becox i think there's nothing bad about being a taxi driver.

The anti-government
You know them. EVERYTHING ALSO BLAME GOVERNMENT ONE. Road change, road tax, traffic jam, no customer, too many customers not enough taxi, weather too hot, house too expensive, car fuel too expensive, all also blame government. You know them. I don't need to elaborate lol.

The "this one don't know, that one don't have" driver
It's frustrating enough to meet a taxi driver who doesn't know the place you wanna go to, especially when you also don't know the place yourself lol. Like last time i will think "how can taxi driver not know! It's their job to know!" I think this is too much to ask becox how can they possibly know all the big and small roads in Singapore! So i have lower my expectation to where they need to at least have a streetdirectory in their car. But with time, i expect them to have a GPS in their car.

It's okay you don't know, but shouldn't you have a GPS in your car!!! It's like part of the preperation for your job ma! Like if i work as waitress i'd have pen and paper with me to take orders. If i am a photographer i will have to prepare all my equipments and props etc. Taxi driver have to prepare their car and themselves also ah! Then sometimes you show them the place on streetdirectory they can still don't know one. Then how lah. The ride already started. Do i pay or not pay if i wanna get out and get another cab. I realise, i have to pay. Lol. One time i paid $3.40 for a cab ride that got me nowhere cox the taxi driver really don't know how to go.

The dead log
Those who say NOTHING AT ALL throughout the whole ride. Rude dao yao si!!! I greet taxi drivers all the time when i board one "Hello~! I wanna go to _______. Thank you ah!"

And then the deadlogs won't look at you, won't nod their head, won't say anything. Really there's no way you can find out if they know where you wanna go or not one. Lol. Maybe they so deaf and mute they don't even know you hop in their taxi =_=

These non-responsive ones are actually the ones that irks me most. Cannot just give a reply meh!!!

The number collector
If you call cab a lot, you'd have encounters with taxi drivers who will text you after that to try to chat you up. Lolol. I mean not a lot, but there are. Maybe out of the 20 times i call cab, 1 or 2 will do that. Can they please don't. I find it quite disturbing like they know where you stay lol. And they have your number. And i feel that the number is something they get from work and it should stay confidential and private lah. And should use it strictly for work like this. But there was once i call cab to go head somewhere that i am not sure of. So in the end i ask the driver to drop me somewhere and then i'd just ask my way around cox cannot drive in all the way one. The taxi driver very nice after like 3 minutes he text to make sure i manage to find where i wanna go to. So nice one!

THE NICEST CAB DRIVERS!!!
Of course there are still nice, helpful and really kind taxi drivers around!!! These are my favourite kind of taxi drivers!!! Chatty but not too chatty! And only chatty when the passenger is responsive haha. And they are usually very family-oriented. They share with me about their family, kids and grandchildren etc ^.^ Sometimes hear already very happy for them also one! Like one time an indian uncle share with me how he very headache becox his grandchildren always only bully their mother (his daughter) when he's around hahaha. And then one uncle share with me how his wife is very cute and nice to him and they are married for 30 years etc. All these things lah, i like to hear!

And then there are taxi drivers who are very nice with helping out with loading and unloading your stuff. And some taxi drivers who will give you a round-down on the fare. This make me just wanna round it up for them!!! =DDD I really tip taxi drivers all the time (when i am on my own) one lor!

But those who SHAMELESSLY round it up for themselves, i will be quite irritated but i won't ask for my change back lah. Like most of the time it's only 5 cents / 10 cents. Max i got was 20 cents being rounded up by the driver. But i feel like who gave you the right to decide that this 5 cents is yours or mine to keep. It's supposed to be mine. So i feel it should be me who say "it's okay". THAT. Or it should be you saying "It's okay" so you earn lesser by 5 cents. But you cannot decide to keep an extra 5 cents AFTER deciding you don't wanna gimmie a 5 cents discount. You know what i mean. 你要算, 人家也在算.

And then if you don't know.. I always sing out loud when i'm in the cab when i am alone on the ride one. Like no other passenger lah. Like bath time mah, very bored so just sing lolol. I have met two very nice and friendly drivers who sang along with me please. Hahaha. KTV on the go yo!!! Hahaha. Also got one taxi driver who ask me to sing louder. Zhen tao yan lah~~~~! Aiyo~~~! Lololol.

Good taxi drivers deserve encouragement! Like if i meet really good ones, who are helpful polite and knowledgeable about their job (like know where and know the best route) i will write in to compliment them one! =D

But it's a pity that there are more taxi drivers who are bad or mediocre than good =X

Recently i collected 2 receipts that i play bluff about wanting to write in to complain about. One took me on a longer route. Instead of the usual $10 the ride was $15 and there's no like extra charges involved and he's not apologetic about it. And then one other gave me VERY bad non-responsive attitude and then the fare was $22 plus. So i gave him a $50 note. And then he finally speak up and it was..

"HAI. TSK. YOU SHOULD HAVE SAY EARLIER. YOU ONLY HAVE $50??? TSK. HAI. TSK TSK TSK"

TSK GE PI. $22 leh the fare!!!! Also not say less than $10!!!! Kp simi. Whole trip tell you where we wanna go, tell you which route to take, tell you later take which turn, you all ignore. Speak up only wanna scold me. So i was like "Yeah that's the smallest i have. Please give me a receipt"

"Please give me a receipt" is also another way of saying "I wanna write in to complain about you" lolol. But i promised myself sometime last year that i will not tell someone "I will write in to complain about you" too easily. And i really never lah i only ask for receipt in hope they will watch their behaviour cox i can complain about them if i really want to.

So true enough, he speak much nicely after that when passing me the money and receipt.

WHY MUST BE LIKE THIS AH. Good people easy to bully is it.

Don't like this lah. Everybody do good with their own job, don't push it with other people. You think about this, why you don't wanna be nice to nice people, and only be nice to people who threaten to be nasty to you? Or why would you only wanna be careful when handling nasty people?

Just do your part and duty equally with everyone. Those who are extra nice to you you be extra nice back. Those who are nasty to you, if you do your part, they have no excuse / reason to hold it against you one. Like this everyone happy. Okay ending here!

Oh wait. I WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LACK OF TAXI FOR HIRE!!!!!!!!!

Wah this one super rage. If you stay in Punggol or any other god-forsaken place you'd know. There is NO WAY, NO WAYYYY to get a cab in the morning one.

Like you can wake up 1 hour earlier, to wait for cab, i am sorry you will still be late.

You can call until your phone from 100% batt become 34% (true story) you still won't get a cab one.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!?!?!?

All the different companies, you can raid their phone operating system, you can burn their offices, still, no taxi one. Omg i am so angry just thinking about all the time i run late becox of the no-taxi situation in Punggol. WE NEED MORE TAXI DRIVERS!!!!!!

WHO CAN WAKE UP IN THE MORNING.

Actually last time only morning time cannot get cab in Punggol. But NOW EVEN EVENING (6-7PM) ALSO HARD TO GET A CAB. I think morning no cab is becox too many people staying in Punggol waiting to grab a cab to go work. Then evening no cab i think is becox all the cabs flock to CBD area to pick up all the working class =( Then Punggolians how lah =((

Omg. I hope more people will want to be taxi drivers. Lol. Why not! You be your own boss! And then you have a system lah. Come up with an app or something, to determine where the most frustrated people are due to lack of cab. Actually i can tell you now, IT'S THE PUNGGOLIANS.

Good luck to me for all my cab rides in the future!!! And i also hope i will never meet taxi uncles who love to zam-break like freaking tap-dancing while driving. Will vomit one!!!

Eat-See Bitsie Korea Part 2

So we woke up early to go stroll around the hotel area. Although we are staying within Gangnum (which is kinda like our Orchard Road) there were little lanes near the hotel area. And they have morning market. The guys found out about it cox they went out to get me food before that! ^.^ I wanna say again.. I am very very blessed to have the best team behind DocDoc.com to help me plan this trip and the best buddies and husband to accompany me through out =')

A little bit more about what i think from my experience with Korea! I was saying the other time that shopping is generally quite cheap and fashion-forward right. Especially their skincare and makeup!

What i think about their food is.. It's pretty.. One taste O.O Like the bowls of different kinds of marinated vegetables you see on the picture above. These are typical side dishes served for you when you order a main dish. Haha. I don't even know what i'm eating anymore, everything taste like kimchi. And then for their sauces, it's most of the time orangey. If it's not spicy and sour, it's sweet and sour like this. Oh but i love it that they have instant noodle almost in every other shop lah.

Went into a small cozy restaurant where the ladyboss was very friendly ^.^

Actually ah, i realise that most of the restaurant server / ladybosses are very friendly. It's almost like your step into their house like this. They serve you like you are their family guest ^.^ Very warm and friendly and smiley. Not like normal prim and proper restaurant kinda service for sure but very.. How to say. Very like.. The shop lady is my mother like this?! Lolol.

I forgot to mention but during my first day in Korea, we went for BBQ with the docdoc team right. This lady running the BBQ table for us, saw me having problem eating my pork (i just don't like to eat big chunks of meat i like to chew off smaller pieces) and i eat very slowly, she just take a pair of scissors, and cut my pork into smaller pieces for me and then give me a "I got it!" expression. Lolol.

Very thoughtful and motherly kind of service. Hahah. I love it.

BUT it's soooo strange that the people mending the clothes store / fashion outlet are most rude ones O.O Why ah??? Like got a lot of storekeeper from Dongdaemong gave us dirty stares / tell us off for touching their stuff . That, or they just ignore us totally like treat us as transparent one. Only rare few will really serve and smile.

Mich and Monkey. Got feel he look like Jay Park not? Hahaha. We were afraid people will come up to him in Korea for his signature. Don't say lah, the staff at REGEN say i look like Soo Young from SNSD when they first saw me *smirk* lololol. I don't think so thou!
One huge but shallow pot of instant ramen with lotsa liao.
Samgyetang. Ginseng chicken soup. Inside the chicken got glutinous rice one. The soup is awesome!!! But the chicken.. I am not sure if it's supposed to be soooo dry? I would have ordered instant ramen everywhere i go but i thought i should at least try all the Korea specialty!
After lunch we continue to stroll around the morning market. Monkey wanted to get some souvenirs for his colleagues as well!

Mich and her sweet potato ice cream which i regret not choosing!!! I love the melon one but this sweet potato one is really like biting into sweet potato!!! But more milky. WO HEN LOVE!!!
And then we went on to Insadong. Supposedly a more cultural place where you can find shops selling traditional items. Like tea, brushes, painting, handmade souvenirs etc.
Ice cream in a spiral cone O.O I didn't get to try this though i'd love to cox the Q was tooo loooooong.
Them buying nuts for people. Haha.

OH BY THE WAY!!!!!! THIS IS VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. If you walk around touristy places like insadong, myeondong, dongdaemon ehwa uni area etc, you will see stalls selling seaweeds (laver) pieces. They sell it for like one big packs of 18 (i think) for $10 SGD like this. If you go to convenient stores, it's about the same price.

DON'T BUY. Omg i bought soooo many big packs =((( I feel very dumb when i go to the supermarket right across our hotel (Ritz Carlton, the supermart is right across the street), where they sell the same thing, in a lot more flavours and varieties at $5 - $6 per big packs =OOO

And i am supposed to be the Budget Barbie. Lolol.

Anyway! Everything is really cheap in that supermarket!! I am not sure if all the supermarts are like that in Korea but that one, is awesome cheap.

Back to Insadong..
Spotted a brush with the same hairstyle as me lolol.
And then we head off to Itaewon again becox we wanted to go there to look at their A-Grade copies =XXX BUT like don't have one leh!!! We went the other time in the day, don't have. So we go back during night time also don't have. So unless you wanna go for clubbing / food don't bother. Lolol.
Food selection is HUGE in Itaewon! You have anything from Turkish cuisine, to Indian, to African, to Mexican, to Japanese, to Western, to all sorts of grill bar. Just think of any cuisine from any country, you can probably find it at Itaewon. But just to be safe, i ask for us to hop into a all-day breakfast shop hahaha. I LOVE AMERICAN BREAKFAST!
Then we head back to Ehwa uni area, to sweep clean the cheap masks and makeup.. I was having like withdrawal symptoms earlier on cox i promised myself NEVER to buy any more mask / skincare products / makeup cox i bought so much the past few days!!!
BUT EVERY SHOP IS RUNNING GREAT DISCOUNT HOW TO STOP YOU TELL ME. Lolol. You just don't stop!!! Shop shop shop away!
Next day~ Lai liao lai liao, Pei Yong Jun (Bae Yong Joon) shang shen. Lololol.
We went to eat around the hotel where they serve Asian food. Like Thai food, Singapore food, Indonesia food and Malaysia food. Lol. Not very authentic at all but taste good anyway! =D
And then we went to.. Was it Myeondong, i can't remember.

Anyway! We went to the Hello Kitty cafe ^.^ Where i bought cute Hello Kitty and My Melody cookies ^.^ For SGD$2 around there? I didn't go explore the cafe thou you can do it for free, becox i feel slightly depressed that i have the splint on and that my face was still swollen and i can't smile properly hahaha. But i got over it as soon as i stepped out of Hello Kitty cafe. Haha.

Actually from the first day we touch down i already exclaim that i wanna go to Hello Kitty cafe! But after the surgery i sort of gave up on it but then on about the 6th or 7th day we are running out on places to go (becox a lot of places i only wanna go visit if i can camho lolol so i rather save it for next time) so i say i suggest we could check out Hello Kitty cafe and then..

Stupid Mich was stifling her laughter and ask me.. "Can i you ah.. You wanna go to Hello Kitty cafe.. Is to camho?" Lolol. She think i don't know i look like shit meh lolol. So i was like no lah.. I just wanna go see it =( Then she was like "Oh no lah don't get me wrong! You look so cute now! You look like Hello Kitty!" =___=" Lololol. After that they keep calling me Hello Kitty. Not in the "you so cute" way, in the "You look so swollen" way lolol. Go jiak sai lah lol.

Mich even did this side by side picture. Die bitch. Lolol. Though i do find my pouffy face quite cute.

It was maybe 4 or 5 degree celcius that day i can't remember. STUPID JOSH AND MONKEY, dumb and dumber, challenge each other to an ice cream cone each!!!! o.O

I think becox it's winter time, we get hungry a lot easier! So we went into another cozy small restaurant and have food again =DDD WO HEN LOVE THE STEAM EGG!!!!
My kimchi fried rice with egg ^.^ I LOVE EGGS SO MUCH THAT I CANNOT SAY HOW MUCH.

And then we went to another uni i think it was Hong Yip or something. This street snack can be seen everywhere. It's like muffin / bread thing, with egg and cheese sprinkled on it.

By the way!! We cab a lot, in fact we only took the train once. Cox we wanted to end up n Gangnum subway station to shop again. But all the other times we cab around cox it was surprisingly cheap!!!

Like we went to so many places from everywhere, the cost of cabfare was mostly less than $10 for nearer trips like maybe 2 - 3 stations. Or less than $15 for longer trips. Only once it was $16 plus.

And since there were four people, it makes it even more worth it to cab than to take the train! =D

They have Krispy Kreme!!! IT'S SO UNFAIR WHEN ARE WE GONNA HAVE KRISPY KREME!!
And then we eat again lolol. Porridge! =DDD We went to a shop that only sells porridge ^.^ I finished it all cox it was yummy + i am hungry. This is probably why i gained 2kg from the trip =( Lol.
OMGGGG THIS BEST KNEADED BBQ CUTTLEFISH EVER. I saw the storelady add small cube of paste to the cuttlefish before slotting it into the kneading machine. I thought it was miso paste. But now i see the shop pictures it seem like the cuttlefish is holding a peanut. Do they have a salty peanut paste? It really is the best tasting cuttlefish i ever tried!
Went back for super duper awesome fried rice ^.^ I ate a lot more than the rest cox again.. They were not hungry but i am VERY hungry!!! WHY LIKE THIS =OOO
And i end the posts on eat-see bitsy Korea with cutest yummiest (and cheap!) ice cream we got ^.^

I would love to visit Korea again.. For the shopping. For the fried rice, for the kimchi, for the cuttlefish, for the porridge, for instant ramen with cheese and eggs, for Hello Kitty cafe, for people-watching. People-watching is super interesting becox most of their girls..

Are so perfect and pretty that you just wanna study their faces. Haha.

So i decided to ask Mich over for a BFF photoshoot for QWeekly. Haha. She quite game so i think she is a closet famewhore lololol. I did her hair and makeup and i think she look awesome =DDD

Thank you, to DocDoc.com.. Now that i am sharing the last post for this journey.. I realise that i didn't grow to be less thankful to them. Like you know when you get used to having something, you just tend to take it for granted. In fact i grow more and more thankful each day to DocDoc for giving me this chance to do something for my face to make myself feel even better =D

I think also cox everyday i recover, i look better hahaha. So i feel more thankful that it happened.

Cox most of you all have been very encouraging on instagram and on my blog =') Thank you ah. Of course there are also people who just wanna pull me down lah but..

If there's one thing i've learnt from this whole episode of doing things to my face..

I'd say it's to believe in myself.

Try doing something major to your face, something that is HUGE in your life.. Something that means a lot to you. And then have people telling you everyday that you're making a mistake.. That you look bad and ugly after the surgery.. That you look like so-and-so (all happens so, are people you dislike lolol) and that you are rotten and insecured inside, that's why you need to fix your face etc etc..

Try going through all that and have to go through recovery at the same time.

And sometimes they make you doubt yourself and feel self-conscious about how the people around you think about you. Like one anonymous dude online ask me how does Josh feel to wake up to his wife looking like a different person. Crazy. Josh went through the whole thing with me how can he be shocked. Lol. He see the gradually change and difference from the recovery what.

Shock also everyday shock a bit only cox i everyday become a bit more chioer, a bit more chioer lolol. Kidding lah i don't wanna self-praise too much. All the credit of me looking better goes to DocDoc.com and REGEN Medical Group Korea. Haha. They made it happen for me, i feel like i am just dazing through a beautiful dream.

So before i start showing you the Before and After pictures and pictures of my day to day recovery after removal of stitches.. I just wanna say.. Keep your spirits up, if you're thinking of doing plastic surgery. It is actually a very easy process, more so if you choose to keep it within yourself and your circle of friends and family, especially before the surgery.

On how to handle people who keep telling you that you don't need this, you sholdn't do it, you'd regret it etc etc. All you have to remember is.. Number 1, they are not doctors. Number 2, they are not you and they don't face your face and body in the mirror everyday, several times a day. Number 3, you do whatever makes you feel better as long as you KNOW THE LIMIT. I mean if you're starting to look like a tight overfilled wax face with constant glaring eyes then you probably might wanna consider stopping for a while lah =X

Just.. Have better sense of judgement lolol.

But all i'm saying is.. Believe in yourself. That you can do it.That you CAN do it! That you can recover well and that you will look better than before. I think that is the crucial point.

The results might not turn out to be 100% of what you had in mind but you must understand that the doctors have tens of years of experience in the field and they should know better what suits you best and will make you look best. So give and take a little, so long as it's chioer than before, i think you're doing good already =D Alright! Picture time =DDD Omg i very happy when drafting this post.

Plastic surgery saves me a lot of time spent on photoshopping, that's for sure.

After removal of stitches
(Day 7 after surgery)
*Please note that my nose is still very swollen and will continue to deswell until about at least 3 months after surgery, AND will only settle into its final form in 6 months.
Before surgery and Day 7 after surgery, removal of stitches. You can notice my facial contour line has smoothen out from the filling of my own fats. Temple and under-zygoma filled to make zygoma less obvious. Laugh lines filled, chin filled to shape for a sharper chin. AND!!! BEST PART, MY FOREHEAD!!!!!!!!! NO LONGER CAN SEE UNEVEN SUNKEN LINES!!!! =DDDDD
You can see the nostrils size difference more obviously after the surgery even though i didn't do anything to my alars this time. The big and small alars and the alar scar are from my surgery in Thailand earlier haha =X It looks more obvious after my current surgery cox the nose is still swollen.
Just look at those jaws and cheeks that is filled!!!!! FAT-GRAFTING IS AWESOME IS MAKES YOU LOOK YOUNGER AND FULLER AND CUTER!!!!! =DDD
Goodbye forever (for at least 3 years i mean lolol) stupid sunken forehead lines. I'll never miss you!
You can note that there's no more hump on my nose bridge ^.^ And the nose bridge has become higher, tip also higher and more defined! =DDD
Softer facial contouring so i don't look so manly anymore =DDD
The fat-grafting will make the face look swollen and will settle in about 2 weeks from the surgery. So when these pictures are taken i am still quite swollen one. But it is definitely better than this...
A bit like a man tyring to act cute with pink polka dot bow and all hahaha. Then the cheekbone and zygoma soooo obvious and forehead soooo bumpy!!! Just too manly and tired looking!
Alright! Last one of the before / after side by side ^.^ I am sure you get it already. Hahaha.
After removal of stitches, we head off to eat!!! Hop into a random chinese restuarant cox we have been having too much Korean food haha. Josh photobombing me.

Their Zha Jiang Mian.
Some kind of garlic prawn? I was told that i can eat anything after the surgery leh! Except of course food that i am allergic to. It's very different from the usual Chinese way of "no prawns, no shellfish, no sotong" etc haha. So it was quite shiok, i ate anything i want =DDD And nothing happened.
Sweet and sour pork!!! Very different from what we have (which is more like the colour of the prawn above) but taste the same! =D And it's extra crispy cox it's in strips instead of cubes and chunks.

So i got home and then below are my day-to-day recovery pictures after removal of stitches =)
I snap these pictures after i come out from the showers, every day haha. So please try to understand why i never change clothes ah. It's sleeping clothes and i only change it once every 2-3 weeks =X
On about Day 4 i put on eye makeup cox i need to shoot for an advert. Sigh.. NOBODY READ MY DISCLAIMER LINE in the advert that my face and nose is still very swollen and they're all like "You look better before surgery", "You look weird now" etc etc. I am sorry but i 100% think i look better after surgery. Not a single doubt. Lol. Okay maybe i overdo my eyebrow for that advert hahaha.
With only eye makeup. I think the face already look so much better lah please. Forehead and face?!?! Can see not!!! The difference is huge to me!!! And then chin also sharper.
"People are unforgiving" Lolol.
How! Got slowly become better not?
This is how my nose look from a higher angle. I freaking love it. Cox there's a very gradual slope that leads to the tip haha. Not like strong straight sharp like this. So it's more natural i think! =D
From this angle also don't look as bad as before hahaha. Before if i snap picture from this angle, i can just forget about it. I will never post it cox it'd be too angular already! Now it's softer hor??? =DDD
Btw although you see my nose in all the pictures but in actual fact, anytime i can, i keep the nose splint on for about 10 or 11 days in total. It helps to keep the nose bridge in the center =D
On Day 8 i had to snap pictures for another advert and i still look swollen hahaha.
This is about day 7. The self-dissolve thread inside the nose. The outside ones on the columella is removed already ma. And it's healing well as you can see. Just apply the ointment they give you with cotton bud everyday. Very easy one. Stitches inside you can just leave it be, and remove it on the 14th day after surgery but i left it for 1 month and it all dropped on its own haha.

Day 11 i had a photoshoot!
And this is after i makeup haha. After nose job really more prefer to snap pictures from side angle. Lolol. It is not going to stay sooooo extra high forever!!! It will settle after 6 months and it'd still be high but not so high. So now must milk it. Lolol.

QWeekly - I more and more pro lol.

I've been doing up QWeekly with the help of good people from Cleo Hair make and with Josh's help on the photography and with the free labour i get if and when i manage to exploit Mich lol.

So far it's been pretty enjoyable!!! Every week there are people contributing to NAIL IT! and 007D and it makes me happy!!! That people are keen to share on QWeekly even when i don't pay them =X

And everyday there are still people writing in for makeover on QWeekly ^.^ Thank you guys.

So i think my luck for doing QWeekly has been pretty decent! Other than good contributors, hairstylist and photographer, i somehow manage to mix and match everything random together!

Like the other day i had to shoot Peishi quite last-minutely cox i just came back from filming overseas right, for Budget Barbie. That's why no time to arrange and prepare for shoot earlier.

BUT!!! I went to Bugis Street and sift out a lot of clothes and accessories for the shoot!! =DDD

This week's QWeekly you must see becox the NAIL IT! DIY nailart tutorial is really one of the nicest i've seen and it's really easy to do =DDD And i also think i did quite a good job styling Peishi hahaha.

Blue and Green ^.^

Hello hello. As you're reading this i am overseas (Malaysia only lah) filming for Budget Barbie thanks to Air Asia ^.^ And then i'd be back on Tuesday from this filming trip.

 And then fly off on Wednesday for my own trip with Mich.

And be back on Friday. So.. Yeah.. Just in case you care? *awkward silence* Lolol.

Anyway~ I went to have my bazi look at by fortune teller before. And the date and time of our birth would sort of determine what elements we're born with. And then i lack water. SO.

Blue and green are supposedly my lucky colour haha. But strangely, i already love blue and green before i know about this lucky colour thing. Of course pink is always in the list. But blue for sure is always my favourite. Last time i write autograph book i'd always write favourite colour as sky blue, white and baby pink. Hahaha. I miss it so much =(( The whole writing autograph book thing.

Anyway~ Headed for Cleo to do hair treatment. Their hair treatment is THE BEST. It's call Carbonate Acid water SPA treatment, i tried it last year July, for the first time and i loved it ever since. It's a treatment that not only help soften your hair, but also cleanse your scalp!

Shio my hairstylist. Erm.. A quick shout out for him hahaha. He is a Japanese and he's funny and single. So please feel free, ladies. Lolol. He really is looking for a gf lah. Like it's his life goal. Lol.
After that i decided to do spot streaks of colour as Shio suggested.. And it turned out GREAT!!!
TA DANG~~ Shio did a dark blue, turquoise and green one for me!!! WO HEN LOVE!!!!!

Okay attention back to my hair. I am very very very tempted to dye my hair all blue!!! What do you think =X But i can't do green anymore cox filming of Budget Barbie would be affected.

I shall leave you here. May is gonna be a crazy month but i am loving it so far!!! =D Lotsa new things to do and learn and new places to visit. I just wish i have more time.

You know how stupid it sounded to me when people say they wish to have more time.

Very stupid. Like, you siao? Jiang Fei Hua. Every day is standard one mah, 24 hours nee. Lol.

But now i really understand the meaning of wishing for more time. Between QWeekly, rarebits, Budget Barbie filming and maintaining this blog of mine, i try to steal time off to see Baby Yurou, Baby Dash, my dad and sisters, hang out with my good friends.. And spend quality time with Josh; time that i am not seen at the computer/ on my phone.

And then with all the things that i do, i realise i really do need more time. More time on everything, everyone. But i guess we'd just have to learn to go with the flow.

And isn't it really really lucky that i am doing everything that makes me happy?

What the heck is this, must be the pre-flight jitters i sprout so much nonsense.

I get nervous each time i visit a new place i already told you this haven't i. I did.

And it's extra hard when i'm not travelling with friends / family / Josh.

But then again this time it's with the Budget Barbie crew and i work with them for quite some time dee hahah. So i am not TOO nervous. Just nervous. Or maybe i am just really stressed that i have to get ready to leave the house at 3am and i am still in the clothes i woke up in today, haven't shower.

Lolol. Okay i shall go shower and head for the airport. OMG AIRPLANE FOOD ❤ ❤ ❤

Did i say the previous picture was the last? I did. I said last one of my green and blue hair.
BUT HEY HEY~!!! I went back a few days later to get purple spot streaks cox i loveeee how it looked on Samantha (Cleo Hair Make de translator cox all the hairstylists are Japanese)! 拜! 我漂走.

Quite some time back Josh and i were talking about "liking" pictures on instagram / facebook.

I say i think whether your friend likes your pictures or not, is very relevant to whether she likes you or not.

You know those cheesy lines in movie.. "Yeah but baby, if you love me, you'd get the moon for me" SO WHY NOT START FROM LIKING MY PICTURES? Lolol.

Haha. I have to clarify a bit okay before people think i need "Likes" as much as i need oxygen, to survive. Hahaha. I think it's relevant to whether the person likes you or not IF

1) She is someone who does like quite a fair bit of pictures on instagram
2) She like the pictures of other friends (especially if those friends are your friends too)

So yeah! I feel it's totally linked becox if you like that person, and if you do like pictures on instagram, why not like a picture your friend posted if it's nice / means something to him/ her.

And quite a lot of people agree with me!!! These are some of the replies i got.


Hahaha. The "THIS FRIENDSHIP IS OVER" one sibeh drama i LOL-ed when i read it.

And then i also agree with "If your friend likes you confirm will like everything you do right" hahaha. Like example.. If i very very happy in real life, you'd be happy for me right? Yeah, same thing lah. Liking a picture on instagram is kinda like being happy / sharing the joy with your friend.

Of course, there are people who are more.. Logical and less sensitive, who thinks that it's not linked.



All of them makes sense!!! So what do you think?!

I don't think you need to like all the pictures of your friends'. Especially not when you don't like pictures on instagram at all one. When i first started instagram i also don't log in to like pictures / read comments one! But now i do ^.^

And here are some of the pictures i like! I can summary it for you lah. Camho shots, doggies, babies, food (with eggs especially), couple shots (becox i like to see happy couples in love) ^.^

Then Lea came and i also don't know how to make her look cuter haha. She got the baby face already. WHICH, is all the rave now *sour* Some people have to go through surgery to achieve it okay. Lol. It's amazing how beauty trends change right? Last time thick eyebrows super 80s and old-fashioned. Then now arch eyebrows is sooooo 90s. And thick eyebrows are back. And last time everyone also no want baby fats on face. Now how i envy people like Lea and Mich!!! =O
