Meredith and Mummy 10 - 13 weeks old

Hi hi hi~!!!

My life is still so crazy even though Meredith is almost 4 months old soon. It's like there's never-ending stuff to do for work and for the baby and for the new house that i'm starting to suspect that this is gonna be life for me from now on - Feeling like i'm always running on borrowed time. Haha.

I've been staying at the new place for coming 4 weeks now. And everything is slowly settling in. We've been getting a lot of guests. And clearing a lot of work. Feeling very motivated with what the future is looking like.

But what we haven't the time to do is to go settle the rental of the our flat in Punggol. Today i have to go to the old place to collect mails and it feels very nice to be back in Punggol. I haven't felt like that in a long time. The first time i felt like Punggol is very clean, serene and perfect for young couples was when Josh and i first moved in 6 years ago. For a moment i kinda miss life there.

It's as simple (boring) as now but at least we go out a lot.

Now at the new place we don't go out to shop for groceries anymore. We use HonestBee.com and we simply order up to a small amount and it's free delivery lol. No more lugging drinks, mineral water, detergent and all the heavy stuff.

We also bought an electric scooter for Josh to scoot out quickly to buy dinner. Major lifestyle changes omg. Nowadays by 1 or 2am i'm more or less done for the day. Anything pass that i'd be so sleepy. And i typically wake up around 8 or 9am. If i can sleep til 10am that'd be an awesome day lol.

Last time i used to walk pass landed estate and wonder why the people keep their houses so quiet and dark. So unhappening, 9pm only lights all out. Now i understand why. By 9pm Josh and i and baby are already resting in our bedroom lol. I'd wipe her down for the day and then we'd all sleep til morning. Then another day begins. Day to day, there's always something to do.

Work is so crazy =( I just wanna spend one whole day to go buy material for DIY for Meredith's room. And then spend another day to do it up =))) I'd find time!!! Cox i can't wait for her room to be fully done up! =D Soon enough she'd be able to play around in it with Yurou and Yuxuan =)))

Gonna stay up pass bedtime tonight to do up update on Meredith.. Becox she's already 16 weeks old =X But i took sooo many pictures and each one is precious to me so i have to put them in my online diary haha. I have a phobia of losing all the pictures on my phone and computer T.T Which, did happen before =O So here's an update of my baby and me the pass many weeks!

Learnt how to rotate herself somehow. What the heck seriously. Lolol. Sometimes rotate until she might as well just sleep on my bed okay.

Woah omg.. My daughter is such a beauty.. HAHA. That is a freaking 9 months romper she wear liao still bao ba zhang =_=" Somebody sign her up for gym membership already please.
Making up to go out when Josh thinks it's funny to let her creep up behind me haha. Somebody needs to borrow a chin? My daughter got two, can lend you one. Lol.
Josh. The best father i can get for Meredith =)) Every night he takes the midnight shift and he's been taking such good care of the baby that i feel i love him a bit more than when we didn't have a child haha. Although baby sleeps through the night since she turned 2 months old but sometimes she still wakes up at 5am for milk.. And Josh never once complained about waking up at night..

I only take the midnight shift if he has to work the next day. And the whole night i'd be soooo uptight. Sometimes i feel so anxious (cox i wanna attend to her in a fully conscious state instead of having to fluster and get gan jeong over milk making lol) until i just tell myself AIYAH DON'T SLEEP LAH! Jitao wait until she wanna wake up to drink milk. LOL.

But then FML usually if i wait, she won't wake up until i feel sleepy one. LOL. So i'm very thankful Josh takes the midnight shift while i take the morning shift.

I share with you all her schedule okay. Her schedule depicts our way of life. Lol.

8am - 9am, wake up drink milk. 10am - 11am super good mood will play for one hour! 11am - 12pm nap. 12pm Josh or me will shower her. Drink milk again. 1pm - 2pm nap. 2pm - 8pm on and off sleep in and out what the heck this time i really 猜不透 her. 8pm - 10pm sleep. 10pm wipe down. 11 ish drink milk and sleep. And the next day continues.

So you can see lah. There isn't much time to do my own stuff unless i wanna be away from my baby haha. So as much as i can i clear work once in awhile on the computer only when i really have to =X

That is why i accumulate so many pictures for so long.

Sleepy like an angel =))) Thank you god.. For forgiving me for all the nasty thoughts i ever had towards people and for giving me this normal baby. Normal and healthy is all i ask for from her.. But i wish she will be extraordinary in her own ways =))

Don't know how she wiggle her way around on the bed. But she somehow ends up beside me so it's worth a shot even if it's dark and blur hahaha.
What are we gonna do when we have a daughter with chubby cheeks haha. Force her to dress up like a doll loh. Hahaha. I don't think she's very happy about it haha!
Josh ask me if i've seen the Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt hahaha. He is damn boh liao.
The last week my family came to visit me at the old place haha. Yurou came in this Little Lzzie dress and i do a impromptu picture-taking session with her hahaha!

My favoorut =)) Yurou is so understanding and sensible these days. I think we're gonna be bestfriends when she grow up. We can go shopping together. Sing KTV together. Her singing pretty much sucks LOL but she's very good with composing her own tune and lyrics lolol.

So much love in the air. Even watching my baby sleeping so soundly is a kind of happiness to me. FTS ALL THE CHEESY STUFF I'M FEELING AND TYPING IT GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS LOL.

Went for Peppa Pig concert with Yurou. The concert was so bad. Haha. But we have our mother-daughter time LOL so it's all good!

Vaccination day~ Someone might know what's coming for her! Haha. So far every vaccination, Meredith's dad, mom and godma are all present haha. 阵容强大.
Do you believe? The squirmy little worm-like thing in my stomach.. Turn out to look like that =')))
Selfie time~ Dolling up makes me feel good but the problem is.. I don't feel like dolling up most of the time haha! I only do it for work and on the days i don't have to work i just wanna be able to put my face everywhere. On the sheets, in Meredith's face and hair and everywhere! Haha. With make up on i'm very careful not to stain it anywhere or to give baby an allergy or whatsoever.
At this point of time i was still 27 hahaha. Still can act cute lah i hope.

I just had my birthday a few days ago (from when i'm typing this post) and it feels like a very normal day. Josh and my sisters set up a group chat to organise a surprise BBQ party at our new place =')))

It didn't turn out as a surprise becox i walk up and down the house and see Josh preparing for the BBQ HAHA. But the thought of my loved ones bothering to plan something and attempting to make it a surprise, just to make me happy, is very touching to me =)))

Although it was just a simple family gathering.. It makes my heart very full to see everyone coming together to celebrate me turning older. Haha. And hopefully wiser.

This year's birthday is extra different i guess. Cox i really don't quite care about it. On my birthday, we went to myVillage to have a simple lunch together. And then have ice cream together =))) It's a very very lovely afternoon for me cox my family was there. And then halfway through ice cream my baby pooped HAHAHA. Which, is something i take joy in, as well. Cox pooping makes her stomach feels good!

But what really cracked us up was when Meredith pooped, i ask "Who want some chocolate ice cream?!" as a joke and then by chance the girl at the next next table shouted across to her friends on the other side of the table "I WANT SOME~~~~" HAHAHHAHAHA.

Me and my family damn cheap thrill. We laugh all the way until we got home hahaha.

That's my birthday! =D Oh wait. That's not all~ Josh scoot out to get durians for me ^.^ They cost like $120 over dollars WTFFFF. I feel super heartpain but omgggg they are sooooo bitter i can die! So bitter they taste a bit like alcohol haha! I LOVE ITTTT~!!!

Okay last one. What. My birthday just over you cannot be more tolerating towards my selfie is it. LOL.
Bought a new camera for almost $800 fml. I hateeee to spend big money that's why i've been stalling back to buy one even though i really needed one! But after trying it out for almost a month now, i must say every cent is worth!!! I used it for my Japan trip and omg i loveee the pictures! This is the first picture i took haha.

Our Punggol Flat for Rental

HELLO~!!! This is gonna be a quick post for those who might be interested in renting a flat!

Since we've rented a house for the better for our doggies and baby and for work, we are going to rent out our Punggol flat! Please contact 98282986 (Text or call anytime between 10am - 10pm) if keen~

Erm if you contact us directly then you can save on agent fees lah =X We had wanted to go through an agent but then later Josh decided that we could just try to rent it out on our own first.

Here are some pictures of our place.

All furnitures you can decide to keep and use or we will remove them for you before you shift in ^.^

More details of the house and the estate will be at the bottom of this post.

Location: Punggol, Edgedale Plains, near amenities, parks and LRT
Flat type: 4 room flat - Three bedrooms (1 room with attached bathroom), living room, storeroom
Expected Rental: $2000 and above (See bottom for details)
Living room. The house is on the 8th floor. Roof top garden is on the 5th floor. The living room is air-conditioned.
We don't have much fixtures but all the furnitures you see will be yours to use if you want it. If not you may check with us for removal ^.^ Everything is flexible!

What i LOVE LOVE LOVE most about this house is really the cheerful sunlight.

It's not north sun ah, the kind that is scorching hot and humid. It's the comfortable bright natural sunlight for the entire living room and all the bedrooms ^.^

When we first saw the house at night we couldn't decide to buy it or not though we love the layout. So we arrange for a day viewing and bought the house there and then cox we love how bright and cheerful it is =))) How time pass, really.

Master bedroom. We will get a new mattress for you if you don't have one yourself =D This room is air-conditioned. We will make sure all aircons are cleaned and serviced before handing over to you!
Another part of the master bedroom where i used to work haha. Ahem, this is a very good fengshui corner for me okay lolol. It is my 文昌位. But FOL we always use that place to eat while we watch TV HAHA. But okay lah i must say this house really quite lucky lah haha.
The ex-beauty-room of mine T.T I love it one. But it would make a nice room for any girl lah. Everything would be yours to use in the house except the diaper bag HAHA. Yoga mat also you can keep lah i used it three times only LOL #YogiBearFail This room is air-conditioned.
Another lucky corner of the house for me!!! We paid a few thousand dollars for the fengshui master to come and determine the fortune corner 财位 in the house and as a matter of fact i was already putting all my money there lol. And the different currencies i hold were all there too. So i think maybe my intuition can make me a fengshui master also haha.
Another common room. This room is not air-conditioned.
The kitchen. We have this stainless steel kitchen top custom-made. Plenty of storage space inside! Microwave is damn new and erm.. Used maybe twice only LOL. We bought it cox i got pregnant and erm.. Josh thought if he's not home i'd be able to microwave heat up the food that he cooked for me. But i was too lazy to even microwave food LOLOL O.O =X
Washing machine included haha.
Alright! This is the house! Details below!

4 room flat for rental at Punggol, Edgedale Plains.

House is simple, bright, cheery, comfortable and cozy

2 bedrooms and living room air-conditioned.

Central water heater.

Can be fully furnished or unfurnished.

Living room newly painted.

Well-maintained

Expected rental $2000 and up.

It is 3 minutes stroll away from LRT (Coral Edge) and Punggol Plaza. 2 minutes stroll to bustop. 5 mins to TPE, 10 minutes to KPE. Appx 15 minutes to airport.

Inside Punggol Plaza there's NTUC, wet market, POSB bank, OCBC bank, Watsons, Koufu foodcourt, KFC, Prima Deli, Cosway, Morris Allen study centre, Canadian Pizza, Pizza Hut, Cheers and many more lah, from baby shops to spectacle shops, to hair salon, pet shop, manicure, facial, bubble tea shop and got two dental clinics and two health clinics and more. On top of that the atrium always will have different fairs. More details on the shop listing here though it's not very updated lol.

Near Meetoh School, Greendale Secondary, Greendale Primary, Horizon Primary School.

Punggol 21 Community Centre 4 minutes walk away. There's Mcdonalds, Post Office and HDB office within the CC where you can attend courses for culinary, fitness and language etc.
It is also of walkable distant (10 - 15 minutes walk) to the Punggol Riverside where there's lotsa food choices and recreations like prawning / pool and billard and i think cycling! There's also lotsa cafes and bistros. Meredith held her first month party there at one of the many restaurants there!
It's a perfect location for picnics and activities like cycling, jogging, walking your doggies ^.^

Asking rental $2000 and up. Of course if you request we buy more things for you, we will have to up the rental. If you take it as is, it can be $2000 (minimum, non-nego). The current market rental rate for similar sized flats in the vicinity is $2200 - $2500.

We are very easy-going landlord so everything else is negotiable except the minimum price haha. Cox already much lower than the other units for rent. Okay! Contact 98282986 for viewing / enquiries!

Please let known your tenant profile (Race, nationality, professions, number of people moving in) when you text.

Also, you may move in anytime ^.^ Just give us at least a bit of time to clean the place one more time (we already cleaned it but just in case haha) and to service all the aircons!

I especially love the smell and texture and how it is so easy to spread!

To be honest i tried a few (cox always got free samples in mother-baby goodie bags lol) other brands.

But i only use them once each to try and then go back to Biolane becox some of them either have a very strong coconut oil smell (Eeeks sorry i was pregger and couldn't take that smell =S), or are so oily i don't know how am i supposed to go through the day with it / go to sleep with it! Some other are too thick and hard to spread out across the huge belly surfaces.

There was once i couldn't find the spare tube of Biolane stretchmark cream that i bought from baby fair, i was like boh bian, try this other brand one. Cox the rest of the free samples i threw away after one use cox they really don't suit me. So yeah, i try this new one right. It really gave me a HUGEEEE RAGEPISODE OMG. After application, the product dries up AND FLAKES OMGGGGG!!!

I was sooooo angry =OOO It got to my tee shirt, the inside of my nails (cox it's makes me super itchy so i have to scratch it) and all over my bed omg. It's like you know "gao gwei" the black dirt we rub and roll out of our skin if we are dirty, except this is white in colour. I got so angry i went to shower again. Lolol. You know how hard it is for a pregger to shower. LOL. It is hard for a pregger to do ANYTHING AT ALL. Hahahaha.

So heng the next, next day Biolane sent me extra supply of the stretchmark cream. I'm still using it till today to reduce the stretchmarks on the side of my belly and also to keep the skin around my belly moisturised so that they can close up faster and better T.T You know right. Stretchmarks are like your skin tearing apart.

For mummies to be, you must must must find a good stretchmark cream for your belly okay! You see the front of my tummy very flawless one omg. Only the sides got stretchmarks T.T Start using it 3.5months and above! So your skin's elasticity becomes very good! No matter how big baby grow your tummy still can tahan haha!
And then out came Meredith.. =)))

So tiny, clueless and pure (and yes, a little grumpy looking haha!).

So perfect (O.O Sorry i am her mother i think she's perfect! HAHA) but so fragile =')))

Her skin was so.. Soft.. God gave her to me in perfect state. Perfect skin, perfect health, perfect pure character. Everything is up to me to maintain / make better..

And it's a huge responsibility! To handle something perfect..

Covered with soft fuzzy hair that almost feels like puppy fur =X Haha! Sooo soft and furry!

I was very very very careful with what i do about her skin. To a point i was quite fussy and strict to everyone else handling her =XXX And i can't help it, i am a new mother handling a newborn with dedicate skin that can turn red with even the mildest irritation.

So i am very very thankful that through this 4 month journey (and hopefully all the way in the future!) Meredith never had any skin problem *TOUCH WOOD!*

There must be a reason why Biolane products are recommended by paediatricians and used in maternity wards for over 35 years. Biolane has accompanied millions of newborns and their parents =))) And my baby, my husband and myself are now part of this big group!

It's quite sweet when you think about it! My baby will grow up with the Biolane fresh and subtle fragrance, and i'd remember and associate her babyhood with this smell T.T It's so touching.

"Yeah? You know what, you come do it if you're so good, okay. I had enough. I'm outta here" Hahaha. My little diva hor!

How time have passed.. From the first time we shower Meredith.. She didn't seem to be okay with the water at all. Half the time she'd be crying. Another half the time she'd just be helplessly calm about it.
"Boh bian" Haha! But as time goes.. She start to LOVEEEEE showering more and more!!! She enjoys it so much that if i have to take her out, she'd cry haha!
Sometimes after showering she's in such a super good mood we can put her in cute outfits and take pictures of her haha!
With the Nourishing and Moisturising Creamfrom Biolane! It's ideal for moisturising dry and sensitive skin on both the face and body! It's a spray so you can just spray a pump or two (two is a bit too much LOL) and moisturise the baby's arms, legs, ears even! Yes do you know you need to moisturise their ears also O.O I didn't know until Meredith's ped told me. If not it will be very dry and if there's ear lobs it might even crack =OOO
About 2 - 3 months old. Dressed her up all blue after shower. Some people ask me why her hair always look wet wet in picture one LOL. Erm that's cox she just showered lah super good mood after shower and massage! =DDD

"Please massage me more! ^.^" Baby you have to start paying me to massage you hahaha.
"It's not funny. I don't like to pay for stuff" LOL. Stingy hor my baby haha!
Fast forward months down the road.. She's a big baby who can sit with us at meal time. Not to eat yet cox although it doesn't look like it, she's really only 3 months plus LOL but we just want her to be around us. Us including the doggies. Haha.
"Boring sia, 都没有我的份" Lol.

Dog owners who have kids will understand how hard it is to keep your baby skin clean and clear of dog fur and dog dust.

Especially Tiffany is EXTRA active and jumps around regardless who is around her, and Drago has no sense of personal space at all omg, he can come SIT ON YOU even when you're seated there first. Lol. Act cute hor ^.^

So sometimes i worry for Meredith's skin too. What if it becomes extra sensitive to allergens and all.

But thank god (and thanks to Biolane baby skin care lol!) her skin is still maintained quite perfectly.
But if your baby has atopic tendency skin (turns red /breaks into rash easily) you may try the Lipid-Enriched Dermo-Paediatrics Hair and Body Gel.

"Dad, don't drop me okay" Here comes the Meremaid. HAHA. A bit too fattybombastic to swim freely in the ocean so thank goodness we caught and capture her from the wild haha!
Meredith is also using the Biolane cleanser! The 2 in 1 Body and Hair Cleanser! Super duperrr convenient i love it!!!

The main reason i chose this other than it smells awesomely nice haha, is the convenience!

You may use it for cleansing the fragile skin and fine hair of babies and children in one simple step! It's soap-free and its mild cleansing base cleans without drying and maintains skin's natural balance! And it doesn't sting the eyes!

It is also very rich in wheat proteins that helps with coating and detangling powers of the hair. So after showering when the hair dries, it's very easy to manage! Don't see Meredith the hair always standing okay, stand is stand but they never ever get tangle up! Haha!

She was just slightly bigger than the Biolane 2 in 1 cleanser ='))) Haha. So shrivelled and uncle-looking LOL.
"OMG DAD I SAID DON'T DROP ME!!!" Haha. Now she's like a pufferfish haha! All puffed up!

After shower, other than moisturising, what people typically do is to put powder all over the baby right. I swear to god ah, not kidding. How i see my sister and friends apply powder for their babies is like they are preparing for the babies to go for deep-frying like this. Really is coat them all over with powder. Imagine a prawn coated with beaten egg, and then roll around in flour. Lolol.

Actually from all my experiences with my nieces and nephews, i realise one HUGE problem i have with using powder is that the powder will always fly ALL OVER THE PLACE during application. And then sometimes damn unlucky, if the baby flinging arms hit the powder bin then it just gets all over the bed. Disastrous.

But the more serious problem would be that the volatile nature of powder - It flies around and get to the air and basically everywhere, and when the baby inhale it, over time it can be a serious problem. Either causing chronic respiratory issues or your baby will have a lot of pi sai (bogger) all the time lol.

For some kids, inhaling tiny substances like powder might trigger asthma even. Just do a simple search on the internet. You know it's quite silly people say talc powder are bad when actually cornstarch is equally bad becox it's still powder form, cornstarch is slightly heavier granted so it doesn't get carried around in the air as much as talc powder but still, they are both in powder form.

Read this article if you're keen. It's the form of the powder (being powder LOL) that is bad for the baby.

I've once tried a cornstarch powder before for my niece and omg how can anyone even live with it =SSS It doesn't get off your hand unless you wash / rub and roll it into dirts and dust it off.

How is that gonna feel comfy on the baby i don't know O.O I would just not put powder for my baby if i can only choose between this two. But applying powder is actually important becox it helps absorbs any excess dampness that might cause irritation for our baby's skin!

That is why ALL MUMMIES SHOULD GET THIS FOR OUR PRECIOUS LITTLE ONES! I bold and red it haha cox i really really really cannot tahan seeing one more mother using conventional powder on their babies anymore =XXX Why would you do that it's so bad =OOO

Biolane Hypoallergenic Liquid Talc works all the same and has all the benefits and attributes of a powder but it's not in powder form!

As you can see in the picture, it's in a form of emulsion which, on contact with the skin, transforms into talc!!! AWESOME OR WHAT?? Very easy to spread and apply so don't worry! After application there won't be eeky feeling like stickiness / rolled up dirt / oiliness!

All you feel is smooth and soft skin~ ^.^

This liquid talc is specially designed to protect all of an infant's skin folds that are sensitive to redness and irritation from dampness. I use it for Meredith on her neck (Especially now omg she learns how to play with her saliva and learnt how to suck her thumb, her whole neck whole day covered in saliva!), legs, bumbum, armpits and all the michelin rolls are. HAHA.

Where the folds are, where liquid talc should be! Don't forget the folds at the back of the legs ok ^.^

Plant-origin powder is used for their liquid talc and it gently works it's magic on the baby skin and strengthens skin's natural protective film against harsh external factors like urine, stools, abrasions and rubbing of clothes on their skin!

So should you put powder for your baby skin? Yes! But the form of it shouldn't be in powder form! So please please please, from a mother to another, stop using the typical powder-form powder!

Another of my favourite product from Biolane! Their Thick H2O Baby Wipes! As you can see lah, it's really thicker than most wipes in the market LOL therefore the name.

The truth is.. Even when i received the Biolane wipes for free cox Meredith is their ambassador, i feel a bit heart pain to use it on Meredith's bumbum becox it's not one of the cheapest.

So i'm not proud to say.. =X That i went to buy a cheaper one, a typical brand most parents use. I only used the cheaper wipes to wipe her bumbum for normal diaper change (no poop).

And then i use Biolane only for when there's poop cox if not the poop will sip through the cheaper thin wipes LOL. Yup, it happened to me haha. So i have to use Biolane wipes for poop cox it's thicker and also i use it to wipe Meredith all over when she's outside and the weather is hot and humid.

About three weeks later i switch to Biolane for all purposes, for good. Becox one day i don't know why, i think it was a hot day so i got home, was too lazy to take a quick shower so i went to use the cheaper wipe to wipe my own arms and neck. I was like "OMG DARLING IT'S SO ROUGH LAH!!! We don't use this for baby anymore lah!" I told Josh. So later i told my helper she can use the leftover to wipe the surfaces in the house lolol.

The Biolane Thick H2O Baby Wipes is specially formulated for diaper-changing for sensitive skin and you may use it to clean the baby's face, body and diaper area without the need to rinse!

Super convenient lah!!! We always bring one pack outdoor cox other than "number 1" and "number 2", Meredith also sweat A LOT hahaha. So sometimes i use one wipe to freshen her up on the go!


For baby-mummy bonding time you may also give baby a deep massage with the Biolane Sweet Almond Oil Spray! Unlike other baby oil, this is not oily and does not leave a sticky / oily after-feel! You also use it to get rid of cradle cap by rubbing it lightly into the scalp, leave on for a few minutes then wash with Biolane Gentle Shampoo ^.^

So it's very important the baby products i use for my baby does exactly what they have to do, and don't inconvenient me / cause me more problems. When it comes to baby skincare and cleansing products, Biolane works perfect for me cox other than it smells pleasantly fresh, it's gentle on my baby skin but protects my baby skin effectively with all the active ingredients in it.

And it's very user-friendly. Take the liquid talc and the thick H2O wipes for example. No powder-in-the-air problems that might cause more serious problems, no poop seeping through to my fingers when i wipe my baby's bumbum.

But of course with all these good attributes i understand if the price point cannot be one of the cheapest but precisely becox it's so good, i think the price point is worth every bit for the value it can offer. So even if Biolane is no longer sponsoring Meredith, i will still continue to pay for their products simply becox it's very good.

Meredith and Mummy week 14 - 16

Hi..

Feeling a little weird inside cox i had prepared for this like a normal log of Meredith and her growth, as i've been doing but then i realise this will be my 1000th blogpost for this blog.. O.O

How time pass, really.

And how things have changed with time.

In 2008 i started the blog just to write down random bits of stuff that happened in my life. And then Twitter happened and blogpost became longer updates cox the bits and pieces goes to Twitter (of which, i honestly still do like =X Becox it's tiny little on-the-go updates and thoughts that i wanna share with people about. It's simple, quick and straight-forward. And very sharable in the sense people can just retweet stuff that's interesting.

But then i guess later with the rise of Instagram and instavideo, Twitter is slowly becoming neglected. And people started to get really focused on Instagram, crafting picture-perfect moments to share with others. Posting stuff that will garner more likes, things that will look aesthetically pleasing on people's timeline.

And that's when people thought blogging is over. But i never felt like that, ever.

I don't know about how the social media trend is changing towards, and i don't even know how to go about the whole SEO thing. So to be honest over the years i've never try to reach more new readers / followers with my blog (but of course if it does, i am very thankful if they find me interesting enough to continue to read my blog) becox all i've been doing is to share my life in the most relaxed way, with you guys, my existing readers.

If there are anyone who's been reading me since 2008, i thank you =) You probably already know everything you need to know about me haha. I hope the way i've been reaching out to you (like a casual, stupid, meaningless convo you'd have with your friends lolol) works for you.

Cox along the years, i've had acquaintances, clients and mostly anonymous haters penalising me for my bad English, for me mixing in dialects (sorry i tend to think i'm blogging for Singaporeans / Malaysians only) but i guess the point they bring up is legit! Cox apparently according to my analytics, i've constant readers from the US, Australia, Indonesia, UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan and The Philippines!

HELLO!!! HELLO ALL OF YOU!!!!! Can you hear me?!?! Can you understand what i'm blogging about?! Lolol. Or does it all sound like Alien Language to you! Haha!

Amazing isn't it, how the web can link all of us up even if we're so far apart, and probably very different from each other, living very different life in a different culture.. =)

So yeah, i was saying about the trend changing. I don't know what and how it's gonna change, but i really enjoy blogging and imma keep doing it.

You know Thankfulness really can make your day? "Everyday there's something to be thankful for" as cliche as it sounds, it's true. And that's a perfect way to lead a happy life. A life that you can be happy being on your own, basking in the happiness from the people around you. A life that doesn't have to rely on what others can do for you, what other can give you.. Instead..

A life where you're most happy when you have the ability to give.

A life that you're just content with where life brings you.

Like that day everyone was just sitting around and chilling and then Ah Bong out of nowhere suddenly recall something

We all sibeh stunned and silent for a few seconds and then everyone burst out laughing LOLOL.

He was asking about a battery for my dad's pointer laser, that Jinzeng told him Josh always use for his DSLR / flash during shoots. But he don't know how to say so he na ge na ge na ge LOLOL.

Then i was like "HALLO EXCUSE ME??! 这种东西可以酱问的 meh?!" LOL. Norni Bong.

"OKAY" Lol. This eyes very erxin look very earnest and keen omg lolol.

As advised by our peds, we keep offering her stuff cox 3 months old supposed to learn how to reach out for things on target haha. But Meredith damn lazy or what i also don't know. Finally afetr trying for about a week i could see her trying...... WITH HER TONGUE / legs lolol. She wasn't very good with her hands yet back then. So kept trying to stick out her tongue to reach the toy lol.
On the day we shifted in, i was very very thankful for Niao Niao and Mich who came to babysit her so we can pack. This naughty girl good lah, this one carry finish, that one carry haha.
Packing halfway in one of the rooms and then saw Niao Niao sent this to the family group chat. MACHIAM DING DONG. Lolol.
Finally~ Our first night at the new place =D

You see this pillow on Meredith? FML i threw it awayyyy!!!!!!! After i got a private message from a follower on Instagram advising me to open the zip up to check for tiny bugs, beige in colour. I ask Josh to do it and he did and say it's fine, there's no bugs. I wasn't quite sure so my brother-in-law took it to check again and say no bugs. So after i settle down Meredith after milk, i went to check it AND FMLLLL really got a lot of micro bugs!!! Like you know dustmites?!?! These are slightly bigger and you have to look VERY CLOSELY to spot them!!! There were many bugs so i gave up the idea of wanting to rinse the shells, dry them and then use them. So if you see it, try not to buy it ba.. Or if you are using it, clean it / throw it away if you would =X

You know how i have all these pictures in my phone haha! Cox Yurou is using my iPhone 5 and it's linked with iCloud. So whatever she does on the phone i will know lol. I like it! That i sometimes can get update of what she does, which game she plays haha. I saw this and feel so much love. And feel that Si Jie is so blessed to have these wonderful kids.. Siblings love is one of the best love on earth!!!

 Omg spot the red float wtffff. I told them specifically don't bring the red float that Yurou used as a baby cox it's very ugly. They told me the red float throw away already. So i was like phew okay~
When they come they still have the red float (for Yuxuan) and i was like?? Lolol. So my dad say they went to buy a new one and this was the only design they have for sitting float lol. Yurou happy hor!
My dad's laughter is happiness for me also~!!! =DDD Really love it when my family gathers!!! =D

That night was my birthday and Josh together with my sisters had planned a surprise BBQ party for me ='))) It was really just a family gathering with BBQ.. And a cake.. But it was one of the best birthday celebrations i've had. Cox this year.. I am a mother and that gave me new perspective on things.

This time with one more year added to my age, i realise how precious simple life moments are.. And how important it is to focus on the positive things and people in your life.. And draw yourself away from toxics. This year other than giving thanks for my loved ones being healthy, i make a wish for me to have courage and have faith. Courage to stand alone if i have to, faith that i can do it even if i'm standing alone.

I mean.. No one is ever really alone =)

So this birthday.. I thank the ones who only think for my best interest as my friends and family.

Anyway~! I am very very very loved T.T Josh and my brother-in-law BBQ the whole night away for everyone and my sisters ran around getting the BBQ stuff and ordering food etc!

Out came the birthday cake. Stupid Niao look like a shindig LOL. She stood there with the birthday when everyone was singing the birthday song and i was sitting quite far away so i was like WTF YOU STAND THERE FOR COME NEARER LAH YOU THINK YOU BIRTHDAY GIRL AH!
LOLOL. So she bring over the cake hahaha.
Wish-making time~ Actually my wish is already in my arms lah HAHA *mushy*
Very gross my sisters go and say "Happy Birthday QiuQiu" WTF ERXIN. I hate it when my close ones call me QiuQiu LOLOL. It's like my work name and it's very act cute LOL. I was 21, don't judge.
Another day Zhen and Mich and Monkey came over to spend time with Meredith =))) This is when they have to say goodbye haha. It's always hard for godma Michelle lolol.

Just like it's hard for you to say goodbye to me O.O But i really have to go. 5 hours away from Meredith (of course i sneak off to play with her now and then LOL) is hardddddd!

HELLOOOO~!!! SO HAPPY TO BLOG ABOUT THIS cox not much thoughts needed haha! It's purely me letting my LOVE for Japan out loud!!! =DDD

Super happy Miyabi contacted Josh for me to go on this trip with Tokyo Luxey! I am very surprised Josh allowed me to go becox erm.. Let's just say we both don't like to get away without each other.

Now even worst, i have to get away from him and babyyyyy omg T.T

So i was feeling a little down..

UNTIL I REACH JAPANNNNNNN OMGGGGG~!!!!!!!! Hahahaha! We went to It's Demo at Shibuya after lunch and OMG i instant good mood =XXX Hahah! SO CUTE HOR THIER COOKIES and icing jelly gummy on sticks ^.^

Then i realise it's cox of our luggage trolley haha!

Before dinner we went to the Luxe Lounge at Keio Plaza Hotel to check it out for a bit.
The ambience is so cozy and comfortable really. I feel i could sleep in there lol.
With free-flow beverages and snacks for the guests to enjoy!

On our way to check out a few more areas of the hotel.. Saw this painting of Fujisan.. Keio Plaza puts in sooooo much effort to let their guests experience a different season / theme and feel each time they come back. You can check out the Girls' Day theme during Cheesie's stay!!! It's so cute and beautiful i can dieeee~!!!
Out of all the hundreds and hundreds of paintings of Mount Fuji, this one really caught our eyes.. It's so simple and mystic.. It's so strange we all walk pass.. And then all go-stan a few steps cox this painting was so striking. And we just stood there for a while to discuss it and look at it in detail.. I will never tease people at the art gallery anymore. LOL last time i always tell Josh "One painting only need to see so long one meh!!!" =XXX Haha!
Keio Plaza Hotel rooftop pool! They will be opening the pool for summer and apparently it's a HUGE thing in Japan for pool opening!!! =O I didn't understand why and then later i realise it's cox the other time their weather is super cold lol so nobody will go swim one. So they super love the pool during summer. Keio Plaza have in store a series of activities during summer for their guests!

THE BEST AMUSE BOUCHE EVER HOW ABOUT THAT!!! They put in sooooo much thought into the special menu that i wanna cry~!!! I told Tokyo Luxey that i love egg and this was conveyed to Keio Plaza team and the chef incorporated this into the menu! It's a melty egg yolk with caviar and onion. It's so simple but come together so well! =OOO
Guess why Cheesie and i seated so far away wor. Not cox we not on good terms ah lolol.

FOUND THIS SUPER INTERESTING FRUIT IN THE DISH!!! Yes it's a fruit, guess what it is?!?! IT IS A BABY PEACH OMGGGGGGGG!!!! Mindblown. It taste exactly like sweet peaches but it has no seed! =OOO I have to find it in Singapore and i have to eat 100 of it.
Ravioli with paprika and fresh crab meat~!!! =OOO THIS IS SO GOOD LAH T___T I am hungry.
Sauteed sea bass with vinegar sauce and citrus fruit sauce! The sauce goes real well with the fish!
I have never eaten something like that~!!! Grilled pork loin with galette of zucchini and tomato! =OOO Thank you, chefs at Duo Fourchettes for taking note that i don't take beef and for letting me try out a new way pork can be cooked. You can never eat pink pork anywhere else without it tasting funny =X ONLY IN JAPAN BABEH~!!!
And then it's dessert and all i saw was this~!!!!!!! T_____T ^.^ Thank youuuuu!!!

I am sorry!!! T__T I was so emotional i suddenly feel like Japan is such a lovely place and country, even simple eggs they go and make until so nice, why. Everyone does their best here for everyone and for everything they do, why. There's just no why they simply take pride in what they do and have passion  and love for what they do. And for that i am truly humbled and touched..

That must be one of the reasons why i love Japan so much.

And i felt at that moment that it's such a waste that i am here alone. More people should be here with me! My husband, my baby, my family, my good friends! All of them should be here with me to enjoy Japan and what she has to offer.. =')))

Thank you Japan (and Keio Plaza Hotel)! You remind me to be grateful for life's little things each time i'm there! Even this simple egg dish ='D

I LOVE THEIR SHOES LAH~!!! The last time i got them was about 1 year plus ago and i've fell in love with the quality of their shoes ever since!!! It's soooo comfy inside, for some of the designs, it has a quilted cushion designs. For some others it's comfy to walk even though it's heels!!!

My sister also got a pair of black low heels from them, for her work. She has been wearing it 6 days a week, for 12 hours shift daily, walking up and down and it's still alive today. I mean.. Not alive for real LOL but they are not dead from my sister's weight you know what i mean =XXX Lolol!

Look at the quilted cushion padding! I LOVEEEE! Walk whole day also feet not pain~!!! When i was pregger i wear their size 40 / 41 flats mostly T.T It's quite a lifesaver!

But still i have scalp problem. You put your scalp under the microscopic camera i believe your scalp also got problem one loh haha.
Corinne using a magic wand on me haha. It's a High-Frequency Therapy that helps to kill all the bacteria, before we start any treatment.
Applying the cleansing solution to thoroughly clear my scalp before washing the dirty clogs off!

For my scalp. These help to balance the secretion of oil from my scalp. Also to keep my scalp healthy so the scalp cells don't die out so fast and cause clogging.. OF WHICH, will cause our scalp to produce even more oil. So these will help to balance up this cycle and make everything just-nice.

OHS passed me their haircare set for dandruff. It's a simple three step care! Other than an anti-dandruff shampoo which is really cooling and refreshing after use, there's also a silk herbal mask.
But my MUST-HAVE is this! The deep cleansing lotion!!! Apply it before shampooing. To dissolve and cleanse all the clogs and oil and dirt on your scalp! And then when you shampoo, EVERYTHING confirm get washed off easily!!! So you must must must get this okay! If not you shampoo 100 times also will still have dandruff one lol.
If you want voluminous healthy looking bouncy hair then try their Lipocomplex!

They also let me try their SUPER SILK hair therapy for my hair ends ^.^ Thank you OHS team for being so kind and generous!
Went back a couple of times more and they are always quite packed.

Surprised to find not only people of older age (like 30s, 40s, 50s) there were also a lot of people my age (mid and late 20s) =O

So i guess scalp care is something not just for hair loss. Also for healthier hair and scalp in general.

Dandruff is not just unsightly.. It's quite unhygienic also. That's why i'm finally doing something about it =X Cox got baby you know.. Cannot keep scratching my itchy scalp lol.

Meredith's Nursery

Sorry it took so long to do up this post. Actually it's been done long ago but i was just waiting for time, no really, i was waiting for time. More time. So that i can have time to do up the little handicrafts that i wanna do for Meredith's room. But hey, the time hasn't come and i've wasted a lot of time before i post this up, while waiting for time.

Do you know what i mean?

Becox i really have no time to explain to you one more time about how i don't wanna waste time. LOLOL.

So this is it~ My new place is done! And this is the nursery for Meredith =) She don't sleep there cox she sleeps with us but her play time and nap time is there ^.^ And when there's visitors who wanna play with Meredith we will invite them to this room to chill haha.

This is how it looks like before. It was a balcony but the landlord brilliantly have it covered up and air-conditioned it lol. For the good sunlight, Josh and i decided to make it the nursery =D
The only wall in this room so actually I can't really do much handicraft also cox no place to hang except here LOL. And i hate the window frames being black T.T Wanted to paint it but Josh tried and say it's very hard so we got sheer IKEA curtains (only $4.90 for TWO panels. Lol damn cheap) to just soften the blackness lol.
BUT FIRST OF ALL, gotta do something about the flooring!!! Meredith's gonna learn how to crawl / walk someday so i wanted the foam but didn't want the colourful ones so i got these wood prints one.
FML spent one whole day doing up the flooring alone cox i stupid!!! Go and follow the instructions on the packaging and use a penknife to trim the foam mats *RAGEEE* You can simply use a pair of scissors!!! It works all the same and it's much much much faster!!! Only the last 9 pieces then i realise "Hey why don't i try using the scissors!" FMLLLL.


First day right after the flooring was done and nothing else was here yet. The wood plank wallpaper not bad hor! And the looooong piece of wood for 3D effect to separate the wallpaper and the white wall, was bought from a carpenter shop at Jalan Berseh. Josh bought a lot of it at quite a low price and used the rest for our wedding shoot last time. We would have loveeeed to keep this corner clean and simple like this but cannot lah. Haha it's afterall a nursery not a photowall lol.
Have always loved buntings cox it's just so HAPPY ^.^ So i went to Chinatown (People's Park, the hawker centre upstairs lol) to buy these fabrics haha. One tip though, is to keep a look out for fabrics that are outside the shops cox they are cheaper like $3 - $5 / yard or metre. If you look inside it's usually $6 - 30 per yard or metre. I mean if your style very unique only expensive fabrics can do then sorry loh lolol. All my fabrics are like $5 or $6 per yard i think. Only the white lace is more expensive, $12 for 6 feet by 1 meter. That's why i also use it for my backyard so okay lah!
Cut it into stripes and then cut it again like how i drawn (in white on pink) for you.
While i cut the cloths.. Here's Josh and Meredith chilling haha. Josh is only here for aircon before he run down again to do the hard chores lol. I'm the soft chores IC lol, i use my mouth only! LOL.
 After you get these little triangles you're supposed to stitch them to a long thread but we're never gonna touch them + they will not be subjected to strong wind so we simply staple them on LOLOL.
There you have.. Anyway the ceiling light DAMN ugly omg.
The lace really is money well-spent haha. It looks so nice against the sunlight.
For one week it look nice like this. Haha. That's before all our furnitures and barangs got shifted in.
Mean time.. We fixed up the window lights for her room =))))) I am so in love cox it's everything i had wanted for my own room hahaha.
Camho more cox i don't think we will on this light very often LOL. Josh damn worried cox it's a china product so he damn scared it will zao dian and the whole place will catch fire LOL. He even plug it off the socket when we're not in the room =_="

Toys and miscellaneous corner! Her books and Yurou's books and colouring items are all here! Also all her head gears are here hahaha. You know lah, she (her laobu, me) love to take pictures hahaha. As you can see.. I try very very hard to colour-control her stuff. I mean if she gets to the age where she'd choose her own toys then i boh bian lah. But now i get to buy ALL the light colours! All her toys are from Japan, except the pink pig lol.

Imagine even adults like us have this problem, it's even more crucial to keep the air clean for our babies!
You might have noticed the weird food-looking cushions in the nursery haha. I got them for guests to lie around the room hahaha. What what what. A little but of quirks is okay, okay!
And of course.. Merries diapers always readily available =))) Erm.. Would be nice if Yuxuan de mama don't come and use 1 each time she visits my house HAHAHA. She damn cao kuan one! Come my house don't bring diaper one cox she also use Merries for Yuxuan haha.
This is a DIY headgear holder i learnt how to do on Pinterest.
They say to use a can that it emptied. So i use Meredith's milk powder can loh lol. You can use Milo can also! =D The roughly measure enough to wrap the whole thing up. Double sided tape it as seen.
Roll it up.
Seal the bottom and top. I like it simple but Josh suggested to add an extra layer of lace on it. Okay loh. Haha. Anyway these are the same fabrics as the buntings which essentially is just me trying to save money on fabrics LOL but ended up now they all look like they are a set! So it's chio =D
Finished product =D Simple hor! Hahaha cox i everything also cut short one! Pinterest say stitch, i say STAPLE IT! Pinterest say hot glue gun, I SAY NO THANKS SO MESSY, DOUBLE SIDED TAPE IT! Hahaha. So you follow my instructions cannot go wrong one. Why, you gonna rough handle all that precious DIY decorative items meh ; ) LOL.

Me-time is killing me

WASSUPPPP~!!!

Sneaking an hour off from Meredith during her nap!!!

I miss miss miss going to Cleo Hairmake and let Sio shampoo and massage ALL my worries and stress away lolol. Seriously, every single time i can be bitch-mode on texting with my friends on the phone, or i can be worried and stress about something but once he massage my head i'm like..

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz......

Hahahaha. Until he have to wake me up when he's done.

And to be honest, i enjoy these little little bit of me-time. Although i'd miss my baby and when i'm free for example if i'm just sitting there getting my hair blown, i'd look at her pictures and videos haha!

So i'm not exactly away from her.

But yes these me-time spent shopping / getting your nail / hair done, is really healthy actually! It gives you a chance to be yourself, to talk to yourself. To understand everything that's happening around you. To reflect on the things you've said and done. To look at the people you mix with.. To really look at them.. And to be thankful for the things and people you have on your side..

I am very very thankful that after all these years doing what i enjoy doing, i am still growing. Growing into some new things, growing out of old things.

Thankful for all the new opportunities. Thankful for nice and genuine people i come across..

But at the same time i'm so torn whenever i have to go to work.

I keep feeling like work is tearing me and my baby apart from each other O.O

Is it just me =(( I talked about it a little on instagram but some people make sense. They tell me i'm already very lucky cox my working hours is flexible and since i work at home, i am still somehow home with Meredith. True also lah.

But do you know the feeling.. When you have to complete work on the computer and your baby is just right behind you on the bed or in the next bedroom.. Yet you can't really play with her T___T

Also i have to go to Bangkok for work this month end and omfg i teared a little bit just thinking about it LOLOL i am such a weakling haha. I was just away last month for Japan and this month Bangkok. I already turned down Shanghai for a product launch invite in July and it's killing me a little cox i've never visited China before =O

But i know it will kill me even more if i have to leave my baby at home for TWO trips in a month! So i bit my lips and turned down the invite to Shanghai T___T

After my last Japan trip i told myself i never wanna travel without my baby again.. But here i am, i find myself going to Bangkok soon (a place i loveeeeeee so much but now it's just a place that's gonna draw me away from my baby-time lolol) and during that trip i believe other than work, it's also consider me-time cox i just gotta take care of me.

So i don't know! Me-time doesn't seem to do me all good! It kills me a little also! How do all you moms do it really. I always look at working mums in the corporate world, take Pearl for example.

I find her extremely strong and strong-willed, as all of you working moms are.

It must be sooooo hard to leave your kid(s) in the morning to go to work T____T You women are superheroes!!! And it must be sooooo tiring to come home to them and to take care of them till they knockout. And then you knock out, and the next day continues.

Can't we all just do what we wanna do, when we wanna do it T____T We can't, okay =(

Double eyelid i used from Daiso is damn freaking good. It's soooooooo thin and has webbed design on it to hold your makeup / foundation. Although i try very hard to keep going, keep moving, keep trying to do what i can to meet deadlines, to submit drafts and to still have a life.. I find myself failing.

The correct word to describe how i feel would be.. Trapped. Trapped in a cycle of motion, lacking time to really care for my emotions.

Been feeling like this for a long time.. But i simply ignore it. I thought if i could finally clear my work and have no back-log at some point of time, i will be better! The reasons why i feel bad is cox i feel bad towards the clients who are waiting for their drafts. I feel bad towards the nice Nuffies who have to answer to the clients. I am sorry.. I am trying and i don't know if i'm trying hard enough, but i am definitely having a hard time trying.

Then i realise that everything i'm doing, is just me trying to go through the motion, to get myself out of these lousy emotions.

Everyday i tell myself "this is not the way to live.." But i still live pass everyday lkke this.

Tonight i can't..

My computer broke down that's why i'm here blogging from my mobile.

There's something about my computers breaking down that works an effect on me. If you don't already know, me and mac, have an issue. This is probably the 9th iMac / macbook that i've shut down, for good.

Previosuly when it happens, i will be so angry and upset but this time i was so relieved. I thought to myself.. "Wah finally i have a reason to stop" You know, that feeling you get in class when your teacher report sick lol.

I blogged this on my mobile at 4am half way through editing my pictures when my computer become like this..


Sian that i have to get Josh to bring it for servicing OR to bring it to retrieve my data and then buy a new desktop..

But i feel like this is a sign to tell me i'm ready to just break.

Break as in zam-break lolol. Not break into pieces ah lol. Break and put everything to a short pause. Clear my engine and reboot.

Thing about our lives with smartphones and all is that, we can never really stop unless we pull an eatpraylove and just jet off to somewhere and fuckcare the world. Which is not something i wanna do ever cox i love my family and friends. Or unless we use a 3310 and can only SMS and play snake all day. Woah, life was so much simpler back in my teenage days lol.

So i thought about how this could be where i take a break before i start to break for real.. And i decided that.. I simply can't. It will be too irresponsible to make the whole world wait for my drafts while i reboot.

So thank you for reading through my rant, but it'd be more productive if i just f-off now to clear some more work that doesn't need the computer yet.

I wish i could say "I'm so tired" but i am actually not. I'm not tired. When you're doing something you love, you won't get tired of it. I enjoy mothering my baby, i don't feel tired about that. I enjoy blogging so i don't feel tired about that. I guess i just don't enjoy having to meet numerous deadlines all at one time becox..

Becox i am my own boss why do i have to slog like a dog and get stressed day in day out by deadlines.

Who's really gonna die anyway, from deadlines? Lolol.

So yeah, i'm not tired, i'm just feeling very trapped.

Hello!

Back with a massive heavy post. Heavy with pictures! Since i can't work on my computer i'd just make use of what i can do with my laptop. "DON'T STOP NEVER GIVE UP" hahaha. From ancient Jolin Tsai song lyrics. Haha. I just went to her concert the other day. She's really an inspiration. She works so hard everyday i bet. Working out for that hot bod, for stamina to dance like a sexy maniac on a three hour concert every other day for a year-long world tour and when i see her instagram, she still has time to attend baking and fondant art classes =OOO

In case people forget, she also has (or had) a nail polish / manicure business O.O And i've seen her posting nail art done for people, by herself O.O Seriously talented, hardworking and down-to-earth or what.

Shall also work harder =DDD Not to be a Jolin Tsai but to be a better mother, better daughter, better sister, better friend and to be a better blogger, or something haha.

Went for checkup and vaccine at Thomson Medical and saw this =D Meredith and mama's first cover!
7.7kg at 3 months plus haha. Our ped Dr Eugene Han say she's over the chart of 100th percentile O.O But he say it's alright!!! Cox she's growing well in length too =D

Yup, she started sitting on this inflatable chair! It's from Japan, i think for about $40 each or cheaper i can't remember. I saw Cheesie using it for Junya when we were in Japan that's when i tell myself i must get one haha. It's damn good omg. You can just inflate it by pumping the centre pillar of the seat. So what we do is we just deflate it, bring it out in our bag, and then inflate it on the spot when we need it. Clean, portable, lightweight and convenient. You can also use it as a floating seat at the pool for the baby LOL. Cheesie brought it to onsen for Junya haha. Damn good or what.

It's damn nostalgic. I still remember when Ah Bong my nephew was a baby about 15 years ago.. My whole family went to Geylang Serai too and back then it was soooo chaotic haha. You'd really be afraid to lose each other if you're not careful!

I remember i was carrying Ah Bong and walking through the lights decor stall and i kept telling him "看, 美美 hor?" Haha. Now he's so big already and so sensible, his mother Ah Pearl and grandpa (my dad) did a very good job in nurturing his character.. I hope i can raise a kind and nice child too.. =)))

 The first time i put her on a carrier to head out =)))))

It is quite a nice and warm feeling =)) To have her lean against my chest like that.. And fall asleep while we're outside.. I haven't worn something and feel so happy about it for ages..

Never a dress made me so happy. Never a nice bag made me so happy. Never a pair of pretty shoes made me so happy. But this bulky looking baby carrier made me feel.. Like a mother =))) And that makes me very happy!!! =D

By the way ah, I've seen some people commented, concerned about carrier and about how i should go buy whichever other brands.. And that the carrier look like it's bad for Meredith.. Thank you.

Maybe you are worry that i bought the carrier just cox it's pink (yes, i chose this out of the rest of the other brands out there cox it's pink but it's more becox the other brands are just too ugly lol) but before i commit to buying it, i have looked around sooooo long for a carrier that is good AND nice. Lolol.

In case you're worried that i bought it cox it's cheap (me being a "budget barbie" for years now, i can understand if people think this way of me).. My carrier cost me $270 SGD and it's from a good reputable brand in Korea, but most importantly, i checked with Meredith's pediatrician what type of carrier i should buy and then after i FINALLY found it, i bought it, brought it along to let him take a look at it on our scheduled checkup, he examined it and says it's fine to let her be on it.

So thank you ah. But i think i'd just go with what my doctor approves.

The next day i check out of the Hello Kitty Princess room to go for a afternoon tea break at Duet Art Lounge within Keio Plaza Hotel!

This place is sooooo cozy and relaxing! Makes you wanna spend the day away just basking in its comfortable ambience and relaxing background music.. Over a cup of drink and some sweets..

And so dewy and watery it feels like.. Sweet raindrop =OOOO So poetic, this mocha omg. With the strawberry paste inside.. Which taste so good omg.. Together it melts away in my mouth and i love love love it.. T.T

This is where we choose what fish we want and how we wanna have it cooked. Don't worry if you don't know anything about fish cox the chef gives pretty good introduction and recommendations!

OMG GLORIOUS SEA SIDE TOMATO I FINALLY TASTE YOU AGAIN~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might think i am crazy to be so crazy about tomato but this is no ordinary tomato!!!!!!!! THIS IS JAPAN TOMATO!!!!!!! =OOOOO I tried it once in a fine dining Japanese restaurant in Singapore and it cost like $15 PER tomato!!! And it was sooooo good!!! It's mildly sweet but at the same time taste like sea salt T______T So good. I ask back then why is it so expensive and so yummy, i was told (but not sure how true) that it's cox the tomatoes are grown near the shore O.O True or not ah haha!
Since then each time i visit Japan, i'd go to their supermarket in hope to find the same thing for a cheaper price HAHA but always mission fail cox their supermarket got like 10 kinds of tomatoes maybe haha! So I'm very very very happy i get to try it again and it's SOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!

Example, last time everyone wants defined jawlines and facial profiles. Now most people go for the supple soft and firm look that's more feminine and youthful.

I won't be surprised if one day these trends change again haha then a bit fml lah cox i already shave away my jawbone LOLOL.

Good thing though one thing can never go out of style and is a default beauty standard UNIVERSALLY across the board haha - Beautiful skin!!!

Getting back in shape with Expressions

Many have been asking, "Omg how do you lose weight so fast after pregnancy?!"

I'd tell you now. Haha. After my confinement, i visited Expressions for 2 months' worth of treatments.

For the first month, i visited them once a week. Cox i was still struggling with the baby, housework and doggies with Josh haha.

After i got a helper, i visited Expressions twice a week for another month. So that's a total of two months!

And that's it, i am now 57kg. Pretty huge difference from my highest, 83.5kg during pregnancy!!!

After one month plus post pregnancy, you know the post-pregnancy weight-loss is done here already. Cox after that i was stagnant for a while also haha. So when i visited Expressions, i was 70kg.

Today i am 57kg. Whooping 13kg weight-loss in two months, thanks to Expressions!!!


Expressions have a few outlets in Singapore. The one i visited is their main outlet at Thomson!
Love the staff there, all very friendly and helpful =D That's Angela by the way! Haha. She's very very enthusiastic about helping ladies fulfil their body-shaping / weightloss / wellness goals! But..... Tell you first lah she's quite realistic and frank one. HAHA.

During my first consultation with her, i kept saying i wanna lose 20kg to become 50kg, can or not. LOL. She tell me "In two months, no way" LOL. Quite surprised to hear a "No" from slimming and wellness centre consultants cox erm.. Let's just say most treatment centres have a rep for over-promising all the time.

So she told me, a few things to follow and do, and she promised in two months, i can lose at least 9kg.

Sharing in a bit, read on! =D

Filling up a very detailed form about my body and health conditions as well as my lifestyle habits for them to better understand how to help me customise a body-shaping, weight loss and wellness program for me to get back in shape and shed some pounds! =D
Talking to another consultant about my weight gain and loss pattern. OMFG look at those back-fats. Being 70kg is no fun T.T She's showing me some of the all-natural products i can take daily to help burn fat and reduce weight. I tried them only in my second month with Expressions!
Doing an analysis on my body fat and muscle mass as well as my metabolism weight and more!
And then to take some before treatment pictures just for my own keep sake and to show you guys T_T Omg i looked like a hippo T___T totally pear-shape T___T
With a crazy bulging tummy that i cannot even suck in much T____T And remember i told you i forgot to apply stretchmark cream on the side of my belly??? ='OOOOO Moms will understand..

Speechless. I don't know how Josh can still tell me i am beautiful everyday. I think he is blind lolol. I looked into the mirror and i'm like "Sigh.. Nevermind lah at least my baby cute" LOL.

Start of my treatment! =D It's quite relaxing lah. You simply lie down.. And they will do their thang!
Serious Angela at work =D OMG DAMN SHE'S GOOD. You see her targeting the back of my underarms where it shows that it's flabby most obviously on pictures.. Later i show you the AMAZING result!!! If you ask me if this treatment is painful, 100% no. Is it uncomfortable? To be honest, very mildly. I don't wanna lie to you all. Imagine a cold and wet baton on you, very ticklish right. Haha. I'd say the uncomfortable level is about 1-2/10 only lah. If you very very scared of cold and wet then boh bian loh, wanna be skinny not? LOL.
Went for the thermal wrap and expelled A LOT, A LOT... A LOTTTTT of waste and toxic from my body!!! =OOOOO The picture is quite gross i don't even dare to show you all. It's almost like showing you all my poop O.O That's how gross it is!!! If you do this you will immediately feel like a fresh new person after what the heck.

That's all for my first treatment!

You might have a different one cox at Expressions they believe in customizing something JUST for that client, targeting only what she needs, no less, no more.

I am very thankful the program Angela planned for me works out extremely well though initially she refused to promise me can lose 20kg HAHAH and only promise me more than 9kg in two months.

But wah, now i think back.. She promised me 9kg, in the end total i lose 13kg so far. This kind of bonus is sweet~ HAHA. Angela really don't lie nor over-promise! Love the professionalism!

Said i'd show you guys the results of just my FIRST treatment, right.

LOOK AT MY ARM PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! 100% no photoshop. I never even pull colour. From slightly bulged out, it become firmer =OOO ONE TREATMENT ONLY LEH.
Notice how my armpit fats firmed up?!?!?! =OOOO Even got the skinny armpit concave in!!!
Haven't seen you in a long while, armpit concave!!! Haha!
Not just the armpits!!! The entire arms became firmer and more in shape!!!
Did the treatment on my inner thigh........ Please just look at the difference before and after.
With my legs slightly apart. You can see after treatment the fat bulge is softer, while before treatment it's much harder and tougher. All these cellulite gathering and having a party there =_=
That's that!!! This treatment was my first, and Expressions told me if i am not impressed or not happy by the results, i can choose not to take up this ambassadorship becox they want something that really works for me, no need to hardsell, no need to upsell. Just as it is~
Of course being super happy with the results from just the first session, i went back =D
SO EXCITING!!!! Doing the same amazing treatment i did on my arms on the first visit, this time on my waist and belly to break down the cellulite and then firm up =DDD I won't show you the results now.. But to be honest, overall results, other than the amazing weight-loss, i am happiest about the shaping of my waist line and belly and thighs!!! All thanks to this treatment and my next phase of treatment!
Into the second half, second month of my treatment =D

I felt sooooo relaxed each time i am at Expressions. Cox it's like my weekly indulgent in pampering myself. Just 1 hour plus off, to take care of myself, feel good, look better.. You know?

And then go have a good lunch at Thomson.. =XXXXXXX

FML MAXIMUM after EVERY SINGLE TREATMENT, i'd go have lunch. Initially i was crazy about the ba chor mee. I'd order one bowl of mee pok with extra deep fried pork lard =XXX

I know, i should be ashamed of myself.

Later, i fell in love with The Prata Stall. I'd order one kosong prata.. And one plate of maggie goreng.. With a cup Milo Dinosaur =XXXXX OMG I OUGHT TO BE SHOT.

We've all heard of this kind of people haven't we?!?!? Always hear them saying "我在减肥", "I'm on a diet" but then next moment you see them eating like a pig. LOL. Hello, nice to meet you, that's me.

HAHAHA.

Finally right, i tio gong tao (went under a spell) for this Thai food at Thomson fmlllll. IT IS SO FREAKING YUMMY I AM NOT KIDDING. I love love love their thai grilled toast with condensed milk......... *guilty* And their Thai Boat Noodle omg omg omg. Their Phad Thai........ =PPP SO GOOD LAH!!! Their chicken wing also very nice but a bit too spicy for my liking lah haha.

WTF DID I JUST WENT ON AND DIGRESS SO MUCH TALKING ABOUT FOOD LOL.

I AM HOPELESS I'D TELL YOU NOW.

I love food too much.

Happy Mothers' Day

Happy Mothers' Day to all the mummies, even the mummies-to-be.. This year i appreciate all that you have done and is going through, more than i ever did before.

It's my first Mothers' Day. How do i feel, nothing special for me as long as Meredith eats, sleeps, poop, play well.

Yeah play, she can play a little now =))) I'd wanted to do an update about her but mummies will understand how it's a little tough to capture moments on camera when you're living it haha.

Yesterday i was at a event organised by Thomson Medical and there were hundreds of mummies with their baby bumps *HEARTEYESSS* Every one of them look beautiful to me. They radiate happiness and nobility.

I've been asked if and when i wanna have a second one haha. If you ask me now, i'd say no thank you, Meredith can grow up with Yuxuan and Yurou if she needs playmate of her age. If not i can be her playmate lol. Though yes, ideally i can give her as many siblings as possible so that she will grow up to be sociable and positive and sharing. But since i'm not having five more, i might as well stick with one LOL.

But mainly it's becox i dare not think about having the second one when i still have 17 more kilograms to lose from the 35kgs i put on from pregnancy.

But if i successfully shed those weight, yes i want a second one! Haha. But the next time i won't eat like a pig anymore lolol. Pregnancy is one of the best time of my life that i've experienced. And it's also the time when i feel Josh love me most LOLOL.

And if i ever have another baby, i definitely wanna deliver him / her at Thomson Medical again! It would be a pity if i only experience such a wonderful journey once in my lifetime, right? Pregnancy and delivery.

But first, i need to lose weight lol. Lose 得了再讲 haha!

Anyway.. I told Josh last night to cancel the Mothers' Day surprise for me.

He played along and say "okay, i will"

Lolol.

This is how you avoid getting disappointed lolol. No lah i really don't expect to celebrate Mothers' Day for myself lol. Children Day i want ^.^V
